I see that this thread is no longer about me
Maybe you guys can help me out. I am dying trying to find a good looking wheel for my ride. I am asking the world so this has been a hard one. Any suggestions? Here is my criteria: 1. 18x8 +40mm 2. deep polished lip 3. black insert (glossy or matte) 4. fairly lightweight 5. no rivets and easy to clean 6. minimum 5 spokes but no more than 8 7. thin spokes

Blue is such a hard color to match rims with.
I personally like the Subaru WRC model, with Blue-Paint/Bronze wheels. Not sure how you feel about it. I'm not sure about their color variations, but you could check out: 1. Volk TE37's 2. ADVAN RG-II 3. GramLight 57pro makes a beautiful 18x8 +40mm offset. Their motto is all about lightweight, but they're fairly pricey.

Ok, Kenny Tran has sold me on getting 18x8.5 wheels. He promises that I won't have any rub issues. Axis just came out with these new wheels and yes, they are black and blue

18x8.5?
You may want to get closer to the stock +48mm offset in that case. You'll max out on 255's with 8.5 wide tires, and at +40mm offset, with a 2inch drop, I'm almost positive you'll rub for sure. Not to mention the 18inch diameter. The lower your offset, the more it sticks out, the higher the offest, in correspondence to the stock 48mm, the more inwards the wheel looks to be. Here's a good guide for tires/wheels on the tC. I'm assuming you'll go with 18x8.5 and max out the width potential, which would be the point of getting such a tire size. Is there something in your set up that I'm not aware of? Here's a good chart for the tC: ![]()
