Oh wow that is so pricy. I'll have to wait lol. I wanna see them whenever you install them. I heard you never have to use your high beams again with HIDs.

they are already installed but i cant find my camera as soon as i find it il post it up =) i also need to take out that little bulb in the high beams thats always on... i think it would look better with out the yellow glow of that one....

How long did it take to install them? My car is going in the body shop soon so u can always ask him to order me a set of hids. My mom sideswiped my car a few minutes ago so might as well ask for hids too. I really wanna see themmmm. My friend has 10000k on his civic and it looks so cool but I want 6000k or 8000k.

Nathan, you did good. But I don't recommend putting HID's in the high beams. You will never have them on long enough to get the full effects. It's just a waste of money.

lol. I just want to throw out there again that you will get the most light output at 4300K. Anything above this will be strictly for color purposes.

So why does everyone and their brother go for 6000k and up?

Because everyone wants to have the "blue" headlights seen on BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Acura, etc. But, those headlights have projectors made for HID. When you stick 4300K bulbs into a halogen projector, they do not have the same effect as they do on HID projectors. 6000K is as high as you would want to go without losing too many lumens. My personal opinion is that your friend with the 10,000K HID's is just stupid. They serve no real purpose other than to look good to the owner.

I as well have 8000K HID's on my Scion tC and love them, I will never go back to regular bulbs again. I do have to agree w/ the group and say there is no reason to add HID's to your high beams. I only want mine in my low beams and foglights. The HID's are more than bright that you'll find no reason to even turn your high beams on. Plus I don't venture out into the country all that often, although the distance of the beam and view of the side of the road where road hazzards lurk is awesome. Installation is a breeze as well, just keep the ballasts away from heat sources and water.

Just a suggestion, I would paint the engine cover to match the color of your tC and paint the letters black or white, the blue doesn't jive w/ the rest of the vehicle. I would also get a radiator air diversion panel from Dr. Isotope.com and have that painted to match as well.
