Hey guys. A couple of us are going to hit up Irwindale 1/8 mile track on November 30th thursday. If you never been it is alot of fun. Anyone can race as long as your car is street legal. If it's stock or modded don't matter. Here are the rules and info for the track......

Thursday Night Thunder is a night with a wide variety of vehicles participating, with heads up action going on all night Some Racers choose to pair up with their buddies and see who has the FASTEST car. Come out and "BURN THOSE BOLLONIES" every Thursday night all year around. Remember it is SAFE, FUN AND FAST. Bring your friends, family and neighbors it will be the MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FUN for the least amount of money ANYWHERE.
It's only 20 bucks to race and 10 dollars per person to watch. You can take a passenger with you as long as they are 18 and over and you both need to be wearing pants. If you show up at 4 when the gates open you can easily git in 8 runs.
Rules:

1.Licenses: Required - Drivers are required to posses valid driver's license.
Competitors under 18 years of age are required to have a Minor Release form completed prior to competing at Irwindale Dragstrip. The forms are valid for the complete 2006 year.
2.Attire: All racers and passengers are required to wear long pants, shoes and a shirt with sleeves. Racers competing with cars quicker than 8.59 (1/8 mile) are required to wear an approved helmet (Snell 90 or better). No passengers are allowed in vehicles faster than 8.59
3.Wheel Studs: All cars must posses the required number of wheel studs and have a lug nut on each stud.
4.Seat Belts: Seat belts must be worn at all times while in the water box or the Dragstrip
5.Windows: Windows must be in the closed position in the water box and during the run
6.Air Conditioners: Please turn off air conditioners prior to your arrival in the water box.
7.Pit Speed Limit: Speed limit in the pits is 5 MILES PER HOUR
8.Mufflers: Required on all cars and motorcycles. NO EXCEPTIONS

We just go out to have fun! Perfect for beginners or those who want to practice. Anyone who wants to race can meet up with us and go. The majority of my friends have eclipses but we just want to get all makes and model to go and meet other car guys.
