    these sites have helped me find some great priced parts for my car...im really new to all this stuff, so far i really like killertc and trdsparks...one question though, whats up with the slr performance chip place? i though some folks were saying that chips werent good for your car? is this a good place to buy one or should i just stick with doritos ?

    Yeppers, there ain't no chip upgrades that work with our ECM. Piggyback controllers offer only WOT fuel trim adjustment at best with the ECM countering most of the gains. Standalone computers completely replace the factory computer and is costly to implement. The new hybrid controllers on the market (Allan Phillips/AEM) allow full control over engine management yet provides full engine sensor inputs to keep the ECM happy. The ECM retains full controll over everything else such as the engine immobilizer, A/C, and combination gauge.

    I prefer to use Dezod and P-tuning my self. I have been able to find everything I need to get my car where I want it.
