Never use an impact wrench on your wheel lugs. An impact makes hundreds of blows to the nut or bolt that it is used on. This is the work that allows the wrench to make or break torque. It also puts inherent stresses on the material being impacted that will actually weaken it. Also, an impact tool usually does not spin the socket very straight; it wobbles. This is part of the design of the tool. In other words, it will booger up your wheels.
