    Default Body Kits

I'm thinking about getting a body kit in the near future. If you have a body kit could you reply with what body kit you have, how much you paid for it and how much you like it, and would you recommend it to other people. Thanks.

This is a good topic that is not discussed much.

My Son has a RS3.0. Although I would not really call it an aerodynamic or a full body kit, I do like the look of the Kenstyle setup. The standard option kit from Scion, IMAO, ain't worth the money as it does not add much to the styling nor aerodynamic efficieny. It is, however, the best fit, paint matched, and under warranty.

BTW If you are going mainly for aerodynamics, I would say that 90% of the kits out there have absolutely no wind tunnel testing done to them. The added weight and drag caused by the kit will slow your car down and eat at your MPG. You can tell that just by looking at them.

yeah there is deffinetly no wind tunnel testing done. But the kits do weigh less. I know my kaminari kit is lighter than my stock pieces.
Unless you have the money to do it right, dont do it. I have had issues that have been a pain in the rear. Going with a bodykit isnt a slap it on and never worry again thing. i am always having to make adjustments.

I like the Kaminari kit. Looks clean and gets good reveiws from buyers. Only problem about the kit is, so many people have it. Last year at HIN in Vegas, out of the 5-8 tC's at least 4 of them had the kit.

Im a fan of the Rado series Wide body kits.. Do you guys think its worth the money? is there something that looks as good for a lower price? at $2100 thats pretty pricey to me.

Yeah it might cost a little over two grand shipped. Then you gotta get it painted/installed. If you cant do that yourself then that will be more money. Oh and did I mention that you will need rims with a +0 offset for it to look right. Those will cost you almost as much as the kit. So my opinion is if your worried about 2g's for the kit, then don't get it because you'll end up spending ALOT. But on the other hand if you got the money go for it.

I agree. If you even have to look at the price for a widebody kit, then you cant afford it. To have it installed properly and painted properly you are going to spend another $2000-$4000

Then add in spacers and new wheels, your talking alot of money.
