    Default Stupid tail light question

Hey everyone! tC nuub here. Actually I just bought an '07 for my daughter. (Spoiled brat, LOL). JK

Anyway she wants to change the tail lights, so we ordered the ones she liked. Mind you I'm extremely mechanical & I couldn't figure out how to remove the original ones WITHOUT breaking something... Took the 3 nuts off, figured out there is at least one push-pin style holder. I got it to move a bit, but it is attached to the bumper cover. Got the clip on the inside bottom corner unhooked from the bumper cover, but it's still attached somewhere at/near the bottom.

Now mind you I had just washed the car, so I wasn't going to lay on the wet ground to look up into the cover and determine if there were any clues there. Anyone done this, knows the tricks, or was it one of those don't do anything mechanical days/moments???

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

I believe your going to have to remove the rear bumper. I have an 06 Scion tC and changed out my tail lights, but I did not have to remove the rear bumper. All I did was unscrew the 3 hex nuts, unclipped the wiring harness and the tail lights came right out. I don't know if the newer tC's are more of a pain in the arse to remove tail lights than the 05-06's.
