The Greddy Ultimate rev limit and speed cut do not work on the tC. This is by personal experience and confirmed by Greddy USA. These features are encoded alogorythms inside the OEM ECM. They cannot be fooled by altered signals. Currently, only a stand-alone can bypass this safety feature.

The speed signal is used by other modules in the tC like ABS and TPMS. Intergating a standalone ECU will require making sure that all modules are fed the proper data. Jotech setup a Motec standalone in the Nitto tC show car that not only maintains the proper sensor data output to these external control modules, but integrates with the OEM ECM to maintain its operational functions like combination meter, cruise control, window control, Scion security, etc.

Yes, your car can go faster, if you have enough momentum behind you when you hit the cut-off, but not by more than 10MPH+. Things like going downhill and a strong tailwind are factors.

Well i dunno about all this, i got a speeding ticket going 136 with 2 girls in the car... a felony that got reduced to reckless driving and eventually removed however this contradicts the idea of a 130 shut off a little bit

Its 127. His radar must have been wrong. its been discussed on every board I post on. Scion wouldnt accidently forget to set some cars at the correct speed.

True. The ECM cutouts are all the same. Either bad calibration on the radar gun or he popped you right at the apex of your momentum. I tend to believe that impressing the chics caused the numbers to go up!

No, it doesn't contradict the idea of a shut off at all. The shut off contradicts the officer's claim. You were not doing 136, trust me. And how did you get that ticket removed?? What a f**king crock! I get a ticket for doing 15 over and they let your dumb ass off of a 136mph ticket!!???

And as far as removing the speed limiter goes, even without the speed limiter, the gearing alone would limit you to about 137mph. So why bother eliminating the speed limiter just for another 10mph that your tires probably can't even handle anyway.

Gearing can be changed and taller wheels/tires can squeek you a bit faster. Aerodynamics play a large part into the equation as well. As far as removing the speed limiter, it is just another limitation to overcome.
