Hey everyone, I have an black 07' TC, with the lip kit, pedestal spoiler, LED Dash kit, manual btw. I'm looking to get a cat-back, upgraded cluth for a Greddy Turbo with option 2 on ---> that site( GReddy Turbo Kit +100hp Scion TC - 11510090 - Vivid Racing - ) lowering springs, and a short-throw shifter. Also, I dont know if I would need a flash or a new ECU? Does anyone have a preferences on each of the items I listed? What online sites would you recommend to buy from. Thanks |

if i were you, i would get treadstone, it comes w/ injectors spark plugs i think all you need to buy is Emanage, and you can buy the harness from dezod. Treadstone is a good starter kit, which i might buy, not sure yet. And gives a lot more power than the GReddy, GReddy doesn't even give you +100 hp w/o proper tuning, proper tuning w/ the treadstone will give you 125+ maybe hit you around 280-290 WHP.

i would say get the TWM Performance Stage 2 Short Shifter, that's what i have, and it is GREAT....and it lowers your shift knob (forgot by how much), i would also get the New Ecu, because it's a piggy back, and you can mess around with it, not like a Reflash, you can't do anything with it. Once it has been reflashed, you can't do anything about it, unless you reflash gain which will cost you.

Sounds good, what ECU would you suggest? Performance Clutch? and Catback Exhaust?
For the exhaust, I was thinking either Tanabe Concept G or HKS For the clutch I have no idea, do you even think I need one after I install turbo? I would assume. For the ECU, I have no idea. |

TWM stage II has 2.5" height and 35% throw reduction, fyi
if you want a cheaper, still great quality alternative, Doc I modifies stock shifters for both height and throw reduction to YOUR preference. check out Doctor Isotope dot Com - Home and get ahold of him.

ECU: Get the GReddy Emange since it's a piggy back, but if you want somethin really worth the money, get the unichip, forgot where to get it. That is the best out there. I'll look around to see where you can buy one.
Clutch: Clutchmasters Stage 1-3 Any of those W/ Fidanza Flywheel, Or Spec Clutch W/ Fidanza Flywheel. Yes you need a new clutch and flywheel, because the stock can not handle the turbos, and it can burn easily. Exhaust: I say get the Dezod 3" Turboback, but it's expensive, but it gives you A LOT of power. Or ZPI's Turboback Exhaust, but once again, it's expensive, and from what i heard of ZPI, their Customer Service is Horrbile. If you want a decent catback, that gives you a little more hp than stock, get the Tsudo Full Catback exhaust, it's like $260, but right now it's on sale for like $240. That's the exhaust what i have. And it is nice. And they are great people/company. The Tanabe and HKS are only Axle-Backs, meaning that it's not a full exhaust. You replace the axle from your old one, and replace it with the HKS or Tanabe and connect it to the stock mid-pipe. Axle-backs are really just made for sound and will only give you like 1-3 hp. While catbacks give you like 5-10 hp or somethin like that. |

So what do you guys think about this on my currently stock 07' TC.
Performance: Turbo kit: Treadstone (3100$) Scion Tc Turbo kit - TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE Handling: Hotchkis Sport Suspension (200$) Hotchkis Sport Suspension Sport Springs ECU: Undecided? Emanage or Ultimate? Shifter: TWM stage II (220$) Scion tC Short Shifters and Shift Knobs - TWM Performance Clutch: Competition Clutch Stage 2: ($393.00 ) Dezod Motorsports LLC-We ARE performance. Flywheel: Competition Flywheel: ($325) Dezod Motorsports LLC-We ARE performance. For Costmetics: Tints (200$) Tint-King FlowLighting Blaze 7 Color Under car LEDS (200$) FlowLighting Blaze 7 Color Tail LED lights (250$) 05-07 Scion tC LED Tail Lights - Smoked/Chrome by: Spec-D - SCION Future: Rims and Low Pro's NOS possibibly? So around 5000$, plus the Exhaust and ECU, l I dont know the price for, plus install of some parts I dont know how to. Any suggestions? |

Actually, if you want a good clutch, Competition
Competition Clutch Stage 2: $393.00 Dezod.com Flywheel, Competition Flywheel: $325 Dezod.com Dezod 2.5" (i mean) Turboback: $630.00 Dezod.com if you are not looking to spend that kind of money for the turboback, i would consider the Tsudo Full Catback for $260 @ Speed-element.com i still would say the Greddy Emanage, but if you want the Ultimate, that's fine too. The Ultimate is a little more complex, meaning that it has a few extras than the emanage has. But to me the emanage standard is just as good. And as far as i think of the turbo kit you're about to have and all the extras, NICE! You're car would be able to smoke all those crap talkers |
|
|||
|
well, i mean you get an extra like 20 whp or so, which is great.....i wanted a turboback...but no money. I think you should get a turboback, it gives you a lot more power than a catback. The Agency Power catback goes for $630 i think too, and gives you less, only difference is that it's like a goldish color w/ Titanium Lip. If i were you, go for the turboback.

The turbo is really small in that Treadstone kit. That is why the numbers are low and it spools faster. It won't be a super street bruiser but it will provide you with the best in daily performance.
Running 15PSI with no extra fuel/ignition management is absurd! They may have not dropped a rod out of the crankcase but can assure you that the overall life of motor is shortened. That is also why the power figures are low. The OEM ECM can handle alot of abuse, pulling ignition/valve timing and adding fuel trim, to keep the motor healthy. This lowers the potential power that can be made. Quote:

turbo? or turbo kit, i would also go for Turbotoyotas, they are GREAT. go to Why Industries.com and get their Stage 1 Not GT, it just does not come with injectors and i forgot the others, but they are great. at like 9 psi you will be around 290 whp. Go talk to them, tell them that Justin or Juss_tC sent you.

9PSI and 290WHP W/O injectors is really not possible. The stock injectors are too small to support that much HP. They will be saturated at 100% Duty cycle. You risk a lean out or failed injector.
Doing the fuel calculations with a conservative setup you are looking at 549.6cc injector size. The stock injector size is Use this calculator to determine the best size injector for your setup Target Horsepower (at the flywheel) 335BHP (290WHP*15%) Number of Injectors 4 B.S.F.C. * .5 Max Duty Cycle in % ** 80% Required Injector Static Flow Rate @ 43.5psi 52.3lb/hr 549.6cc/min * Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) if unknown, can be estimated as .4 to .5 for naturally aspirated, and .5 to .6 forced induction. Consult your engine builder for more accurate estimates. ** Limit maximum injector duty cycle to about ~80% for safest operation. How do you guys feel about this turbo kit, which includes the Emanage and I will get the ACT Street Clutch with it...
Dezod Motorsports. Dezod/Force Fed Concepts Sciontology Turbo System-Scion tC 07 (5 Speed Only) (if I get that, what Turbine A/R would be best for my setup, .48 or .63?) |
