Arrow Scion Tc vs Accord

I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question, but my friend and I were arguing about this and were not able to get an objective opinion.

What I would like to know, is which car has a tighter handling / suspension, speedier, faster of the line and better overall performance.

Stock 2007 Honda Accord Sedan V6 Automatic (EX-L) or
Stock 2007 Toyota Scion Tc Automatic

Is there an objective way to answer this?

Any opinions will be GREATLY appreciated

They dont have the newer accords listed but here are 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for stock

2001 Honda Accord LX V-6 8.3 16.6
2003 Honda Accord EX V-6 Coupe 6.2 14.5
2004 Honda Accord EX Sedan V-6 5 Speed 7.0 15.5
2004 Honda Accord EX Coupe V-6 6 Speed 5.9 14.5
2003 Honda Accord Sedan (I-4) 8.0 16.0

So it will be close on the drag race.

Alot of that is personal preference. And a person who owns one will say theirs is better.

I am not asking which car is better, I am asking which car is faster and handles better. I believe this can be settled objectively with some numbers, am I wrong?

It can be, but stuff like that is so dependent on driver. And since they arent race cars, they are very rarely ever on a race track with identical drivers.

I autocross my tC, and it hangs with the big boys, but its far from stock, so the comparrison isnt fair.

An auto tC is limited in performance by the ECM and shift control module. Suffice to say, I believe that the Honda has the advantage. Throw a stick tC in the mix and I would have to say the tC as the overall winner for racing. Of course, 3rd gear plays out way too long on the stick and that is where the Honda will close the gap.

i wud say an Accord EX .. i hav a 5 speed RS1 ('05) (modded) and i ran a V6 auto Accord EX (stock) and it had me by a door .. we ran around curves and between traffic .. i was ahead bcuz our cars are a lot lighter & smaller .. wen we hit the straight strip, V-tec opened and he held me by a door until traffic became heavy .. it was a great run

He got you by gearing. The tC just isn't geared properly for highway passes.
