First, only buy a true 4-2-1 header. That is tuned for street giving a broader low power band. The 4-1 headers that most sell are considered a race header. They increase the mid to upper power band at the expensive of the lower. Since you don't tool around town doing 4K launches, you will notice a difference that may not be to your liking.
The MIL (Maintenance Indicator Light) aka check engine, is caused by incorrect readings of the bank1sensor2 narrowband O2 probe when the main catalytic convertor (cat). It provides feedback to the ECM (Engine Control Module) on the status/performance of the bank1sensor1 wideband A/F probe and the main cat. This can sometimes be caused by aftermarket s-pipes that have the O2 sensor bung welded in the wrong place.
