Well, anything is possible. It really comes down to what such a transformation is worth. Speaking in general terms as I have never done such a conversion on a tC, you need to consider so many different things from rear end gearing, drive shaft length, dash bezel around the shifter, etc etc.

IMO, its not worth it at all. I'd sell the automatic car and simple buy a manual and start building from there.... unless you can pick up all the parts cheaply and do all of the work yourself... then, good luck with it!!

If your talking about the tC, you need an AT ECM, possible harness adaptor, pedals, shifter, shifter cables, a different master cylinder. Axles should be the same. As JRW stated, it is very cost prohibitive. You would be able to to do rather easily. If you are lucky, you might find a MT tC being parted out.

Contact Ken or Jamie at TRD Sparks and have them cross-reference the parts I listed above to see if there is a difference between part numbers for auto/man.

TRD Toyota/Scion Parts Accessories from Sparks Toyota/Scion

Cost all depends on whether you can buy a used transmission and if you do your own labor. I would think that you could do the work yourself for under $2.5K.

It all depends on how much the shop charges, how much custom fab work, and how much time the shop will have to research the swap.
