It is very tempting but in the car world you usually get what you pay for, it may cost a bit more for name brand parts but it will be worth it in the end, but TRD is way overpriced for what it is, its just name brand parts that have the TRD name on them, like the intake is from AEM but TRD charges way more for it because of what it is, so do your research on everything before you make a purchase or ask around here.

its hard to make a decision on no name parts when it comes to the engine tho. i wouldnt want anything serious to go wrong cuz thats my ass ya know? i guess it's worth the extra dollar or two(hundred) to get it right. like doing installs: have an amateur friend do it for cheap or a professional do it.

thanks. i got over 36K miles on the car (since july '06). i've never had a car this long so i dont know what to expect as far as the internals and other things i know next to nothing about. the last thing i need is for it to be cuz of a faulty install. guess it also helps to have a friend who is a pro!

Its always a tough call but nothing is a sure shot. Sometimes you will get name brand stuff that just sucks and some no name brand product could be way better, but in most cases its the other way around.

i got one friend who just got outta school not long ago for audio/security install. i have a couple friends who are into tunning (03 galant and 98 civic gsr swap - both slow) and they know more than me. now that i've found this club, i feel more comfortable with things i didn't know before. i just need time to sit and mess with it when it gets warmer here!
