Its possible to do that to almost anycar, it has something to do with tuning your cars engine. I 4got wat parts but its possible. Some of my friends Did it 2 there car and they got lik a honda accord, civic, celica. But if u do it its goin 2 **** up your engine the way they did it. U could also do it by fully tuning your engine but that's lik with nothin stock I think

yeah bud what it is is basically no cats. my best friend has an 07 sti and he has a full turbo back exuast with no cats and when he drops it a gear we get a little flame thrower. hell when i went out to the track one time i saw an evo shooting out like a foot of flame when he would down shift but like navy said its just the over riched air meeting the oxygen at a combustible temp. not to get to technical.

I drove a Scooby for about 4 years. It's not that hard with any WRX, STi or not. Two requirements to make this happen: 1. Catless Turbo-back Exhaust system. 2. Run Rich. To accomplish point 2, most subie owners just put on a fully 100% atmospheric venting BOV on the TMIC. The normal 1g Bypass valve recirculates all the excess compressed air, by venting the air atmospherically, you're removing recirculating air to the intake manifold, causing you to run rich. Some of the fuel doesn't get fully burnt out, and burns post Waste-gate from the turbo back. I was hugely involved with the SoCal Evo club, and while working with them, many LanEvo's and Scoobies ran Piggy-back, or Standalone systems with Anti-Lag maps. Which reduced lag and improved turbo response, but also produced profusive flames. Also known as a "Mis-Firing System" in Japan, made popular by that blasted Anime, "Initial D" Not hard on a Scooby or LanEvo, generally, people do it for show. But I imagine it's not hard with an aftermarket turbo kit. |
