Default What are the best Intake and Headers?

I'm looking to put on some headers for my 08 tc, i cant figure out what to get. Also i want to get Intake for it as well. I want the most hp i can get out of them. I'm for sure getting the HKS Hi-Power exhaust on it. Also i was just wandering is it safe to put in 91 or 93 octane in a stock scion tc engine?

I remember asking the same question about gas when I joined, you don't need to spend/waste the extra money on higher grade fuels for a stock tC, once you supercharge or turbo then you will need to worry about that but stock, 87 is fine.

For the headers go with a 4-2-1 setup. Do a search for Weapon R on the forum. For intake you are not going to have much of a difference between the companies just make sure it is a name brand filter. You can put the other octanes in there but it will not benefit you at all. There was a thread about that before with a little more detail.

Yeah, I agree with Bruin and bwood. For a stock tC, higher octane fuel is not going to make much of a difference. As for intakes, I have an Injen Cold Air Intake and I love it! It produces noticeable horsepower and torque gains as well as a mean growl!

My previous setup of 9PSI TRD S/C, I/H/E etc liked 89-91 Octane more than 93. Be sure to reset the ECM's EEPROM to clear out the learned maps when you make mods so that the computer can learn new maps with the new air flow.

ive heard good things about the injen cold air intake, such as sounds great, better throttle response, however you probably wont notice a huge difference in power if any, and as far as headers, i would search the forums because there are bound to be a million posts and threads about headers as most people start modding with an i/h/e setup.

I just got the Fujita and i'm equally impressed. then again, they're basically the same, so it makes sense, eh? Much more noticeable intake sounds, really nice growl, love it Also, the Ti-C exhaust sounds amazing, though i was warned my DC Sport headers may sounds a little raspy, but i rather like it

You might as well get it from where I did.. . if you're installing yourself. They'll ship and they're as cheap as anyone. You can order it from their site Velocity Factor . I'm really impressed with mine

Cheers
