Just to clarify the 9.5 PSI pulley would be the $95.00 - 65mm Overdrive
SC Pulley...?

Sorry, I don't know this too well.

Follow bwood87's plan and your set. Suggest that you get the S/C install before anything else. Better to keep the Dealer unaware of your extravehicular activities. Good synthetic oil is a must. We have very knowledgable members on here that have solid experience with tweaking an building cars. They will get you steered in the right direction.

To answer the earlier questions:

1. Stock injectors are 380CC (I believe but can't find the reference yet)
2. TRD S/C injectors are 440CC.
3. With the TRD, boost comes on quick with the pedal. Smack the pedal and you go from 17-20 inches of mercury (cruise) to whatever RPM/boost that you are at. There is no lag but you are not at max boost till you hit redline.
4. http://www.club-tc.com/forums/perfor...s-more-hp.html This sticky is a good place to start for what works the best for the money and performance.
5.Brian Crower Cams is supposed to hit the market with new billet cams for the tC in about 4 months. Darn they beat me to the punch.

Awesome, thanks for the post...

Now, I know you said to keep the dealer unaware... but I'm what you could call car "handicapped". I don't know engines really... I would say I'm a decent driver and understand how to drive a manual car with efficiency etc... But I am fairly clueless when it comes to installing anything engine-wise.

I was thinking about calling my dealer and asking them how much for the install / ECU flash (or whatever it is lol)... I don't think I can find anyone that I would trust enough to do it. I would barely trust the dealer... Only way I'd go with them is if the service tech guys have installed a TRD S/C in a tC before.

I'm looking to purchase the S/C within the next 5 months or so... So I've got plenty of time to research.

Smart plan. I would go with it. Atleast you would get the full power train warranty on the TRD. You can always change the pulley out later on down the road.

Default Automatic Trd

Anybody have an automatic TC with all the TRD stuff done (including sc)? I'm looking to trade my STi for one and have to buy an automatic due to knee injuries. I want to know if an automatic with TRD stuff can compete with Civic Si and Volks GTI? Thanks in advanced for your help.

The autos don't have the low end torque curve due to the gearing. What they do have as a plus is the long 3rd gear that the manuals have. Performance wise, its a different ballgame. A TRD S/C auto running 10PSI should beat the Civic. The GTI, I would not think so.

Default Auto TRD

How bad would a GTI beat it? and would the LSD help it? Is there anything you can do to the Auto to help with the low end torque?

Don't know and not much. ZPi was working on an auto tranny retrofit but that was $4K and they are out of business. The main issue is the tranny is controlled with the ECM. Not sure if the piggybacks can override the factory settings.
