The air flow sensor is different and so is the ECU. The S/C on the 07 and up also have the redesigned bracket.

That would be a rather expensive drop. Not too sure about the fitment either. One plus is that the Camry does have the 2AZ-FE as a variant. The mounts for the V6 will either fit or a new set would have to be made. I have this Camry so I suppose that I could take some measurements.

I looked at the mounts. They are different but should not be much a problem to design a replacement. The engine bay sizes are close in size, but I did not get any measurements yet. A quick glance at the 6-speed auto tranny revealed that the starter is the same as the tC. Th bell housing looks very similar. Hmm, a tC w/ a 6-speed auto. Sounds enticing. If it woud physically fit and connect up to the motor, then it would not be hard to add in the required wiring and Camry ECM for tranny control.

Come on, lets stay loyal to our 4 banger tradition

ANyways, is there a significant weight difference in the v6 compared to inline 4?

Yes, not sure what it is. I can weight my research setup someday here when I have the time. It is 100% stock with everything on it. As for the V-6, you can ratio it up if your good at math. Things like 2 cylinder banks and 2 exhaust manifolds is going to have a certain percentage more added for the extra weight in those items.

I am keeping the 2AZ-FE. What I was salivating over was the 6-speed auto tranny. The 2GR-FE will have to wait for my next tC.
