changing transmission
due to my daily commute to school(45 min+ with traffic), i decided to get an automatic tC. but now i regret it and i have some questions about changing my transmission. since my car is still new(08) with only 5k miles on it, could i possibly remove my auto tranny and get it sold back to the dealership or anywhere else and get a manual installed? i mean i know the change is possible but i was wondering if i'd get a good amout of money for the auto tranny. my basic concern is the price.. and im wonding if it is worth it.

Your better off doing a trade-in. By the time you buy a tranny, clutch setup, and what ever else ya need then add labor. Man, your talking about some change. The dealer cannot buy any parts from you. There is a whole legal issue with that.

You'll save money and time by doing a trade in.
Trade it in man, while working on Subaru's for over 5 years, the same question comes up all the time. Save yourself massive headaches and just trade it in, or sell it, and get a new vehicle, soryr couldn't give you the answer you would've liked.

i went through the exact same thing it was around 13g's for a tranny swap and all labor and that is right from kenny trans mouth. i traded mine in you will get a good price on urs cause it is so new.. hope it all works out bro keep us posted.

no i had a black sand pearl supercharged. and im going to get the work done here in tennessee it was going to cost me like 3,000 more cause of the long trip and hotel and stuff so im doing it here i actually take it in tuesday and my baby will be out of commission for 10 days : (

lol i know some guy in a porsche back into me in a parking lot he already paid for that to be fixed. the shop is called lns performance there website is lnsmotorcars.com i believe.
