Default Weapon R Vs. DC Headers

Oki I cant decide if i want to get the Weapon*R 4-2-1 Race Header Long Tube or the DC Headers? The weapon R does like nicer and is a 4-2-1 setup. The DC headers are just cheaper. I want my engine bay to look nice but try to get the most power. Also i'm getting the HKS HI Power exhaust but don't want it to be raspy... Thanks

Headers for the most part, are less of an overall HP gaining modification as they are a modification that re-allocates your torque band.

Managing outflowing exhaust pressure is a large factor in torque management.

Well i would say MMW headers, but i have it, and it has a nasty rattle, plus fitment was horrible. Though performance seems a bit better since its 4-2-1 and there is less rasp that you would get in a typical 4-1.

Soulbane is correct. NA is not going to see much HP gain as compared what a FI engine is going to realize with a header swap. Don't worry, you will notice the difference w/o the primary 3-way cat. The OEM header is also a very short 4-1. The runners are too short to take advantage of the scavenging effect of a 4-2-1. Assuming that the 4-2-1 header runners are of the proper length to take advantage of this, you will have a more positive off throttle response. The torque band will better match the torque curve designed in the engine.

Yes, DC is only a 4-1. Weapon-r is a true 4-2-1 tho. I just put them on this week and love them!

The primary cat is a 3-way cat. The secondary cat is just a standard cat. 2 is all there is.

WEll its only low and deep with a 4-2-1 and a pretty good axleback, ive heard some pretty ****ty tc's. I dont wanna hate but it was a guy with a hks axleback and a DC header with the old tsudo midpipe consisting of a 16" resonator.

Bleh, I hate loud noises.

I just slapped the silencer on my GReddy axle back.

Looking for the right set up for a custom mid pipe, not sure which two sized resonators to go with.

Then it's Invidia S Pipe, Weapon R headers.

But all these mods happen after handling =D

O yeah... Ive done the I/H/E/P crap, and getting suspension mods have better bang for the buck, unless u only use yur car to drive straight.. Now i know, if i do get a next car, what to get first.

For sure.

Handling is always more important than power.
