Default ceramic brake question

I just bought an 05 tc that has ceramic brakes. I took it out for a ride today and the brakes seemed to be grinding. The car has been sitting for a couple of days while I get plates for it and I have not driven it but 1/10th of a mile. It has been raining and the discs have a bit of rust on them. My quick run up the street today produced a slight grinding noise when I braked. Is this anything I should be worried about? Thanks in advance.

I dont think you have anything to worry about, the disc rotors just have a little rust and grime on them once you drive it for a bit it will burn off the rotors and it should be fine..

Depends if the grinding noise persists.

I've worked on cars for years now, and the most common result of this is a teeny tiny little bit of gravel that gets lodged between the rotor and the pad. Which results in destroying both.

So..... If it persists get it checked out.

Take the wheel off and check your pads/rotors. If the noise is from the back, pull the rotor and check the parking brake shoes. The PB maybe dragging. NOTE: Release the parking brake before trying to remove.

If persists, then take it to the dealer.
