Default S-Pipe

ok so i searched and didnt find an answer. my gf has a tc and she wants to "go faster" it is her dd and she doesnt want to void her warrenty. i think an s-pipe would be perfect for her. ok on to my question: 1) will it bolt right up to her stock exhaust mani and the axle back 2) are the ones on ebay any good? a pipe is a pipe its kinda hard to mess that up right.

The S-pipe alone will not yield any significant power gains whatsoever.

Neither will an entire exhaust system. You're not going to benefit from exhaust systems until you get some forced induction.

To directly answer your question, S pipes are direct bolt ons, but an S pipe in itself does not solve anything. THe restrictive catalytic converters are located in your headers and in your mid pipe.

To your second question, buy only from reputable companies. This can't be stressed enough. You get what you pay for, and you have to pay to play. You could get a cheap ebay S-pipe made of rusting and oxidizing cheap metals that warp, rust and fail on you early. Your s pipe also houses an O2 sensor as well. Don't want to get any fitment issues also.

If you want to keep your warranty and see a significant change in power, save your pennies and dimes and get the TRD Supercharger.

It'll cost you a few G's, but it'll last, you'll definitely see the power increase, and it wont void your warranty.

Correct.

Where do you live? Depending on where you live, replacing OEM emissions parts can, and most likely will cost you your warranty, a nice fix-it ticket, another SMOG check, and possibly a fine.

So........ its upto you.

You can check out Megan Racing.

I believe they sell a midpipe + spipe combo.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from Megan Racing exhaust products. They are not very well engineered and their quality is lacking. You are better off having the mid-pipe/s-pipe custom made at a quality exhaust/speed shop. You will need to add in a quality resonator.

I/H/E setups have gain anywhere from 10-15WHP. I have even heared of guys dyno'd at 173WHP on that plus LW crank/flywheel. Add 25-50shot NO2 and you have yourself a sweet lil N/A setup. N/A performance cams should be hitting the market soon.

Default since you guys are replying here...

I'm about to instal my MMW header and S-pipe.

About the Oxygen Sensor Socket, what size is it for our cars? I just spoke to the stealership, they thought it might be a 21mm, but of course he didn't check...

Will it be imperative to wrap the header before the instal?? (heat re-taining)

Thanks,
K
