Hmm, not sure. What 2.4L exactly are you thinking about? What matters is the engine code. Toyota has used the 2AZ-FE for several years now. As far as I know, all the 2AZ-FE motors are VVT-i. I will check with Kenny once he is back from racing tomorrow.
Best of luck to you over there in the Sand Box. I just transfered back to the Reserves and if my business doesn't work out, I might be joining you over there.
