fyi - i work - very hard - like everyone else. i have a b.a. and im working on my master's. but everyone's situation is different and money doesnt come to everyone easily.

besides, this is something to maybe bring club members closer as we help each other with little mods like and intake or springs or putting it toward something bigger.

u wanna just work - do your thing. u wanna help your fellow club members - that's cool too. but it's just an idea...

Shouldn't this be on a different thread? Giving people handouts isn't helping IMO. A financial advice thread for budget modders would be more a lot more helpful to everyone. Don't get me wrong though I love helping people, that's why I'm in Iraq right now, but you can do far greater things than having a money pot.

FYI - I work 13 - 14 hours a day every day for 6 months at a time and with combat pay and all the other bonuses I get I still make less than 20 grand a year. I still can afford parts though.

first of all thank you very much for what you do - i know that isnt much but i appreciate all of you cuz i cant do that...

with that said though, the "handouts" are more like a chance at helping your fellow club members achieve some of their modding goals. this "money pot" was just something that happened to come up in this thread as an aside to the original topic - something that frequently happens on these threads. there has only been a couple posts on the idea, so it isn't really all that serious. now, if more people like the idea and jump on board, then we can make it it's own thread and get more serious about it.

and as far as how much you make... you being able to afford parts enhances my previous point in that everyone's situation is different. i make more than that but struggle to make payments on my car, insurance, gas, etc. (that's before food -for me, my fiancee, and my dog - phone, school loans, other basic needs (toiletries, motor oil, etc) and other debts. some of it is my fault, some is just unfortunate circumstances.

so, good for you that you can afford parts as i have other priorities in life. we are all going in different directions, but this forum is, at the very least, a common outlet for all of us to share ideas, laugh, and have a good time. we're just enhancing the scion community. and last i checked, community involves terms such as "together," "similar characteristics," "development," and "growth."
