I've always been a fan of B&M when I was in the Honda camp. I think TRD is going to be the easiest to install though since it comes with whole assembly, but it is pricey. I would stay away from ebay shifters unless you know the brand (even then I hate buying from ebay).

Default B&M Short Shifter

The B&M short shifter keeps the same height. The throw is about half of your stock. Hope this helps.

^^^ agreed. I have the TWM Stage 2 and I love it. Makes 35% shorter throw and 2.5" shorter height than stock. And the directions they give you are pretty good.

personally i would go with the twm stage 2 shifter. it will help out alot. if not twm creative compacts make a short shift that is just as good. perrin makes an adjustable short shift but the drawback to that is that you have to make sure everything is tight before putting everything back together or it might slip under hard shifting.

OK... so, question??? Are they easy to install? Or am I better off having someone do it for me? And... is it really better thatn the TRD shifter? What does the TRD shifter cost?
Also, can I keep the stock boot and shift knob, or do I need to buy the ones they offer?
I'd like to keep the look as stock as possible, and wanted to get a TRD shift knob.

Red_Dragon: Thanks for the referral

We have an install guide on our Scion tC short shifter page, just scroll to the bottom and you can download the pdf.

Here's the Link: How to Install Scion tC short shifters

We also make our short shifters available with shifter base bushings, shift cable bushings, shift knobs, and short shift boots.

Hope this helps.

Default Perrin Short Shifter

The Perrin short shifter is awesome too. IT allows for independent height and throw adjustment, and you can twist the shaft to put the know in a better position. Easy as any of the others to install and well made.
