I was looking at those too. I'd be worried about fitment, other than that it looks like an ok investment.

I'm looking into an OEM replacement myself, but that's a good price for a catback. Try it and let everyone know!

truthfully, im a name brand guy in most respects. i would rather stick with names i knew for performance parts. i'd rather pay more for names i trust than take a chance on a startup brand.

i know everyone wont see it this way, but it's a veiwpoint

Well personally I would just go with the order of the flow. Maybe I'd get the header last, though.... ***Begins pondering inner-self thoughts***

he means order of airflow: start with the intake, then header, s-pipe, and finally catback exhaust.

i personally always start with exhaust since thats what people see and its a hard choice to make (all the different styles make your head spin!), then intake, and finally the header/s-pipe.

Graphite - why is it such a hard decision to make? arent all the exhausts just about the same with the exception of noise level? i mean i know axle-back are different from the cat-backs, but what else is different? i thought hp gain was negligible at best.

all cat backs will give you about the same power increase. All there is to choose from is noise. I think that is what he meant.

what i mean is that there are so many different styles. N1 style, Tanabe-style, OEM style, etc.

plus theres tip length and diameter....

muffler angled out? or not?

ive been through a bunch of pages looking for the right style and fit for our bumper openings. unfortunately, the exhaust sits somewhat above the bumper and i don't like the way most exhausts sit angled at the cut out. looks like someone just threw it in there. i'm prolly gonna go with an oem style. looks clean and flows well with the bottom rear of our cars.

Quality. It is all about quality. Look at Meagan Racing's exhaust products; junk.

Here is my 2 dimes (inflation) after looking at the product in question.
1. JDM?? Yes the tC in made in 1 factory in Toyota City, Japan from 100% Japanese parts. However, this car is only sold to US markets and no wheres else. There is no Japanese counterpart like the xB/bB or the xA. That means there is no Japanese Domestic Market for these cars which means no JDM parts. Misrepresentation, probably made in China. Heck, I have been to Japan several times. They don't even know what a Scion is.
2. The picture is generic. Those exhaust pieces would not fit the tC. You will also notice the mid-pipe as a 3-bolt flange but the rest of the pieces are 2-bolt. These pics may not even be from the same manufacturer.
3. The pic shows what looks like a resonator. I found no reference to a resonator or a catalytic convertor listed anywhere. If you run an aftermarket header, you would be catless and may not be able to pass your emissions testing in your area.

All I can say is that you get what you pay for.

s-pipe is the pipe after the header. go under your car and look at it. go under the car and look at everything! change your own oil!
