Default Auto Transmission

I've been thinking, and idk if my stock auto tranny is going to be able to hold up to the 300 whp i am shooting for. Anyone have any ideas on how to get around this besides getting a new 5 speed, or a 5 speed swap. Anything I could do to make the Auto better? Thanks for your help in advance, and I know im an idiot for buying an auto.... you dont have to tell me.

have not heard of any autos failing due to performance. Short of a custom tranny builder, your stuck. I wish I knew more about Toyos and what might be a compatible auto tranny to swap. I am looking for a mid-engine, rear transaxle to mate my V-6 to. Just not alot of swaps going on in the Toyota camp.

That is what a custom performance transmission shop can do for you. They an redirect and/or change orifice sizes, source upgrade clutch packs, and perhaps can increase the surface area of the shift governor. Controlling lock-up maybe difficult because it is controlled by our encrypted ECM. With people hacking Sony copyright protection, MS DRM, IPOD, and other protected software, you would figure that someone would have reversed engineered our ECM by now!
