Default Intake

Im thinking of installing Cold air intake in about a week or so on my 06 Tc. I just wanted to see what brand people who have experience with intakes fpr the tc suggest. I've read alot of ppl have installed Injen CAI for the tc, but that it is harder to install than other intakes. Suggestions would be appreciated!

AEM V2....they all install pretty much the same...injen is good too... but AEM uses variable pipe diameters for optimal air flow=more power

As far as I know the AEM intake has not been released yet. In terms of installation, a CAI is not that much harder than a short ram, it's just more time consuming because you have to remove a fender. Nothing a couple hours and some simple tools couldn't do.

Heres an article on the Weapon R Short Ram Intake Installation that you might find useful.

The only intakes that I know that is on the market right now are Injen, K&N, Weapon R, and Umnitza. I think Arc is releasing an airbox pretty soon which I think will be great for our cars.

I think the best intake to go with is the injen cai they advertise 12hp/9lbs tq those numbers are not to bad for an intake!!!

Most air intakes come with a set of illustrated instructions.

You can also use alex8181's article for reference since the install would be very similiar.

i dont think any aftermarket intake will ever be carb legal..as far as im concerned, Injen is the best one out there. i think its been tested and injen is the better sounding as well as performing intake from K&N and WR

after putting inthe intake and letting it run for a couple minutes when driving can you feel a difference with the intake or there isnt much difference with it.

Thats awsome, its nice to be able to see real numbers, after doing some research I thought the Injen intake was the best, and I guess I was right.
