Oh, it definitely makes a difference. When I drove my Son's RS3.0, it felt totally weird. Yes, there are others on the market that do make more of a change. You could opt to mod yours like mine. Have only drove around the block a few time. So far, it has a good feel to me. Can't wait to try it out on the street.

I used an inexpensive MAPP/O2 gas torch from Home Depot to gently bend it into a more ergonomic fit for me. I am so tired of misshifting cause my elbow smacks the center console. Everything that I work on I post under Project tC in the Member's Rides section so that ya'll can use those ideas to do the same or make a better mod. I like to show people how they can do simple things to make their own one-off mods that won't cost a bundle. That is beauty of how this forum works; the free exchange of ideas and information.

navy your shifter has a hell of a gangsta lean man. i can't say that i like the way it looks but i guess if it makes you shift faster looks aren't always whats important. i was looking at the ark shifter anyone know anything about it.

looks are ALWAYS important (to me of course ). just throw a fancy looking cover on that shifter to make it less robotic looking

This increases shift precision, further reducing shift time [overall elapsed time with the full process: hand off wheel onto stick, clutch in, gear to neutral, neutral to gear, hand of stick onto wheel*/clutch out* (*simultaneous)].
This sounds perfect for me.

I swear I always grind going into 3rd, so used to the AWD tranny, STILL!

it's such a paint.

Not an issue for me, I steer with my left hand 98% of the time, even in hard turns. The "gansta" shifter (I was actually goign for the Hurst shifter look) is working great. The only issue that I really have to deal with is 5th. I have only been tooling around on city streets while I am getting the bugs out, so I hav only got her into 5th a few times. A little more use and I will be used to the difference in throw.
