in my complete honest opinion, cold air intakes is a waste of a concept and money, and could potentially mess your engine up (if water is inducted) the best possible intake you can do on a tc is the weapon-r intake made by monster motorworks.... it is a mean short ram, its gonna save you dough, and they have an awsome option of a cold air box..... even without the cold air box, it produces more horsepower than a cold air intake, im not goin to tell you how it is constructed though, though you should check it out and be amased......hint- its a secret

CAI is not a bad concept. Why suck in heated air as opposed to cooler (ambient) temp air? This entire debate on water logging your engine is unfounded. Looking at a correct CAI install, you can plainly see that the filter is in a enclosed area. This means it can only ingest water if you are driving thru some severly deep water. You shouldn't be doing this anyway so don't worry about it.

If its not CARB aproved then dont get it, u could run into some trouble in california, if u live somewhere else, then go for it, anything that is not CARB legal will get u introuble in cali, and definitely do with a CAI, i really have never met or spoken to anybody that had a water logging problem with a CAI, that is unless they are complete a-holes, tell me would you drive into a 2ft puddle or would u drive around it? CAI arent the problems dumb drivers are the problems!!

California Air Resources Board, im guessin ur not from Cali, neither am i but i read alot of magazines, the reason why manufacturers go out of their way to make something CARB approved is because they know if it is legal in California, then its legal in any other place!! Hawaii has something like that too i believe

yeah, u could, an intake is easy to swap out, but when u get into more complicated things like a turbo kit, or a whole exhaust system, then it becomes a little harder to do, just look around, a lot of manufacturers make CARB approved products!!
