Yes, the AFR sensor is a wideband O2 sensor, your standard narrowband O2 sensor will not work.

i took out my cat on my tc..all you really have to do is take apart your dash and put a heavy black piece of paper over the CEL and it should do the trick...

your right but most the time you should be able to tell if somethings wrong with your car because of how its driving or smells etc...im only saying this because of the peopel who were having problems with gettting the light off..its quick and simple..but like you said there is a risk

hahaha clearly neither of you live where there are inspections. i'm jealous. When we do inspections they have to plug into the obdc-II and make sure there aren't any errors. SERIOUS PIMA!!! BUT, if you don't put a 02 sensor where the AFR goes, and you do the CEL eliminator (Weapon R or home made) the light goes away and everything works fine.

Do you have a piggyback ECU? If so, your mis-fire codes maybe from incorrectly wired IGN or wrong IGN type selected in the piggyback software.

Default installing performance headers?

heyy i need some help.

i just bought some performance headers online and i was wondering if i could put them on myself and how hard it would be?

also the stock heat shields over the stock headers, would i need to put them back over my new headers or what...id prefer to leave the heatshield off but if its bad for the headers then i will put them on..

can someone help me out?

its kinda hard .. not too bad .. ur gunna need to get under ur car of course .. so a lift is recommended in my opinion
no .. u can keep the shield off .. u should heat wrap the header tho to keep the heat inside of it .. u may gain a horse or two from that .. but yea i'd get it done at a shop if u havent done it before just for saftey reasons

Not too hard. A lift would be better but you can get to the lower mount of the OEM header with a quality floor jack and jack stands. I would remove this mount as it is not needed on most headers. Of course, if your header does make use of the lower mount, then use it. Obtain a new metal header gasket and lower donut flange gasket. JET Hot coating or wrapping would keep underhood temps down and create better cylinder scavaging for a slight power increase.

it is just the actual OEM valve cover that has been polished then powder coated stardust blue. The VVT-i emblem was bought off E-Bay.
