Default ECU Reflash

So, I remember reading it somewhere . . . ECU Reflash . . . what is it, what does it do, and where can I get this done?!? Are there any benefits? HP & Torque Gain?

Sorry for all the silly questions . . I'm interested.

Only if ur boosting, when u install the TRD supercharger, they do a reflash of ur ecu to compensate for all the extra air goin in, if not, ur car would be running lean because there is no extra fuel to go with all that air being forced in, so basically its to monitor air/fuel ratios

An ECU reflash is probably one of the best tuning formate you can use rather than a standalone... why? because it does more then just add fuel and air. It gives you the ability to add timing, retard timing, adjust the cams (VVT-I) which in this case is great, also you get to keep all the sensors in its place, which alot of people really hate having the CEL (check engine light) on when they do a mod upgrade, But if you don't have this feature you wouldn't know if you car is running to rich or lean or your timing is off... ect.
But unfortanaly you can only do a reflash with a S/C application not on turbo or N/A applications.
