PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - Club-tC user agreement and rules.

YOU ACCEPT THE FULL CONTENT BELOW BY VIEWING OR REGISTERING FOR WWW.CLUB-TC.COM.

We want to promote a clean, healthy, respectful atmosphere where people are not afraid to ask questions, participate in this community and generally have a good time discussing the things we love most – Scion tC’s.

Any posts or threads that break these rules may be deleted or edited at any time at the discretion of Club-tC. There is no guarantee that any posts or threads will be deleted or edited, however, even if they break forum rules. The volume of posts at Club-tC does not allow for review of all messages or action on all emails sent to us reporting messages that violate the rules. Club-tC is not liable for any damages suffered by the postings of users on the site.

Club-tC is a provider of an "interactive computer service".

Postings on Club-tC's Forum are "provided by another information content provider" and not Club-tC unless posted by an Administrator.

Club-tC is not the "publisher or speaker" of any posts in the discussion forums unless posted by an Administrator.

Violation of the rules listed below is grounds for immediate banning of your account at Club-tC at moderator or administrator discretion. Violation of these rules may alternatively result in reduction of your publicly viewed user rating points.

========================================
The rules:

No profanity in subject lines or signatures.

No spamming or commercial solicitation of any kind by members. Any such messages can be removed at the discretion of either a forum moderator or administrator.

Selling of individual items is permissible by a private owner in our Marketplace Forums, however selling multiple items of the same product is considered a commercial post and may be removed at the discretion of moderators and/or staff.

Commercial solicitations and links may be posted in the forum they most apply to as long as the company is a supporting vendor at Club-tC. Messages promoting a commercial entity that is not a supporting vendor of Club-tC may be deleted at any time at the discretion of Club-tC moderators and administrators. Occasional posts helping a fellow member to find a commercial vendor that has what he needs may be allowed. If these posts are viewed by moderators or administrators to be commercial promotion (by a vendor, affiliated party, or un-affiliated party) they may be deleted. This decision is based on many criteria and may differ based on the actual moderator or admistrator that makes the judgement call. These posts may be deleted soley at the discretion of Club-tC moderators and administrators.

You may not post about cars you've seen for sale on dealer lots. One reason for this is that it's easy for commercial interests to register a username and act as if they are not associated with the business that they "advertise".

No flaming of other members to incite or perpetuate a conflict or argument.

Personal attacks or name-calling can get you banned.

No bombing forums or threads with pointless posts.

No linking or posting of pornographic or objectionable material.

Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself.

Do not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any illegal activity on the forums. Linking to locations that deal with any such activity are also forbidden.

Posting under secondary usernames or alias user names other than your main account for the purpose of arguing, degrading or belittling, or deceiving other readers is grounds for having your posting privileges revoked.

You must have a valid e-mail account in your profile so you can be reached by a forum moderator or administrator.

========================================

The rules listed below are here to make the forums easier to use and more conducive to friendly discussion. Violation of the rules below may result in points being taken from your user account but may also be grounds for immediate removal of posting rights:

Respect both forum moderators and administrators.

Post in a manner that promotes good will in the community. A few examples of what not to do: do not post racially derogatory comments or make threats of personal violence in the forums. It is up to the discretion of Club-tC moderators and administrators as to what constitutes inappropriate posting behavior. Please use common sense and be civil and we won't have any problems.

Try to post to the forum that is most appropriate for the topic being presented.

No cross-posting in multiple forum sections.

Refrain from using profanity or cr3ative spell1ng to get around the censor filters.

Respect the privacy of other members and individuals. Do not post personal information about them (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, etc.).

Observe all copyright laws when posting copyrighted material.

Do not post messages that violate Federal, State, or Local laws which include, but are not limited to, anything that violates a copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or is bound by NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

=======================================

Moderators and administrators review many forum messages for those that are in violation of Club-tC rules. Any messages found to be in violation may be deleted without warning or explanation. Club-tC also reserves the right to ban any user, at any time, and for any reason.

There are going to be topics and discussions that will have heated debates. Please think before you post and re-read what you type before you post it. Keep your comments limited to the debate at hand and do not make this a personal issue between you and another reader. There is tremendous diversity in age, race, gender, language, location (worldwide) and more here and there will be a lot of varying opinions on different subjects. We're all human beings and we we're all drawn to this site because we have a common bond as Scion tC and car enthusiasts.

Considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board, it is impossible for Club-tC to review all messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that Club-tC does not actively monitor the contents of all posted messages and is not responsible for any messages posted. Club-tC does not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and is not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of Club-tC or any entity associated with Club-tC. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. Club-tC has the ability to remove objectionable messages and will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if it is determined that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately, in fact, we may not edit or delete posts that break our rules at all. We have many time constraints on us and cannot guarantee that we will be able to edit or delete posts that break the rules/user agreement. If you do not agree with this then do not view or register for Club-tC.

Although this Discussion Forum does not and cannot review the messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we at Club-tC reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Club-tC, vBulletin (the makers of the bulletin board software), and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

We at Club-tC also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.

A valid email address is required for registration so that your password can be sent to you personally. This has been done to prevent and safeguard the Club-tC Forums from random attacks and people looking to cause problems and spam these forums. Club-tC does *NOT* sell or distribute your email address to any third parties. The option to have your email address visible in your posts on these forums is controlled and determined by settings in your profile which you control. If you feel uncomfortable submitting your email address, you can go to a number of free email services on the Internet to get a second email address for the purposes of registering on bulletin boards like this one.

Moderators are not representatives of Club-tC. They are simply members with extra privileges. The opinions expressed by moderators and administrators are not necessarily those of Club-tC.

The only authorized representative of Club-tC is the Administrator.

The forum software has a 'user rating' system. If you are perceived by the administrators or moderators of this site to have broken any of this agreement they have the option of lowering your publicly viewed 'user rating' instead of completely banning you from the site. These percentage points may or may not be put back to the original value.

Banned Members: If you have been banned by Club-tC and attempt to register again using some means to get around the ban, such as using another email address, you agree to a 5000 dollar reinstatement fee. By clicking on agree on the registration page you agree to this fee. You also agree that any disputes will be resolved in New Jersey courts.

This user agreement can change at any time without notice. It is the responsibility of the user to check back on this page often to read the latest user agreement.

If any parts of this user agreement are found to be not legal by any court the remaining pieces of the agreement shall remain in effect.

By viewing this site or registering for the discussion forums you agree that you understand these rules and terms. You agree to abide by them. You understand the limitations of Club-tC to manage the content of posts and agree not to hold Club-tC or it's agents liable for any posts made on Club-tC by members (standard, senior, elite, moderator, etc). You also agree not to hold Club-tC liable for any damages resulting from messages posted by any members (members include member, senior member, elite member, moderator and any other title under a username. The only representatives of Club-tC use the username JRW-910. No other username is used by a legal representative of Club-tC.) You also agree to settle any disputes through legally binding arbitartion if this is the method of dispute resolution chosen by Club-tC.

Avatars

Images used for avatars should be in good taste. No babes. No controversial or offensive messages.

The images should be limited to no more than 150 pixels wide and should not be vertical images.

Moderators, regional events coordinators, and gold supporting members, are allowed to use animated gifs for their avatars. All others should use .jpg format images.

Multiple User ID's

Restating a long-standing practice at Corvetteforum.com:

There is no valid reason to sign up under a different name, therefore it is the policy of Forum to disallow two or more separate User ID's on the site.

Periodic audits will reveal such accounts, so please do not sign up multiple times and assume more than one identity.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Emails / PMs Containing In Appropriate Content

Members are not permitted to create threads or post/reply inviting others to respond by requesting a PM/email that directs them to material that is inappropriate for posting on the forum.

The forum will not serve to facilitate material which is prohibited by our existing rules.

Members can find such content without the assistance of the Club-tC.

Inappropriate Language

The Forum’s software is set up to block certain words and terms we consider to be inappropriate for use on the site. Typically, the words and terms included are those that are crude, vulgar and/or involve racial epithets.

That does not mean the software will block all inappropriate words or phrases. Setting it up to do so would be an exercise in futility because we wouldn’t be able to identify everything that should be included or the exceptions when the term or phrase would be acceptable in a particular context.

Altering the spelling of words/terms to bypass the blocking feature of the software is in conflict with Forum rules. Moderators try to show some tolerance if the word/term is altered enough so as not to be blatant. As a guideline, moderators often will ignore an otherwise inappropriate word or term so long as at least two letters of the word/term have been omitted or changed to symbols.

They cannot ignore words/terms (even with altered spellings) that are used to convey hostility toward other Forum members.

It's also inappropriate, of course, to introduce inappropriate language to the Forum via images or links.

The judgment of moderators will be final in such issues because the moderators are charged with using their best judgment in maintaining a level of civility that ensures the Forum is a fun and friendly place for Scion tC enthusiasts to hang around.

Interferience in 'For Sale' Threads

If you don’t like the price or item being offered in for sale thread, take it to e-mail or PMs. Better still, just move on to a thread that is offering something you like the price on.

If you post a criticism of the price or the quality of the item being offered, you will be in violation of Forum rules and subject to sanctions.

If you post your own for sale items to the for sale thread started by someone else, you also are in violation of Forum rules. Start your own thread, rather than jumping into the thread of someone else.

If your contribution to a for sale thread does not advance the sale, you are in the way.

Forum Debates

1. Be sure of your facts and be ready to back them up.
2. Do not allow yourself to fall for inflammatory "bait".
3. Never fall into the trap of personal defamation.
4. Rise above your opponent when they resort to the tactics in #2 and
5. Be willing to concede, if necessary.
6. Respectfully agree to disagree.

Inappropriate Images

Allowing the posting of Babes pictures on the Forum or even links to sites that include Babes pictures or film clips makes us vulnerable to being blocked by corporate servers as a “not work safe” environment. That means many of us who like to check in on the Forum during breaks at work would no longer be able to do so.

No nudity, semi-nudity, suggestive, seductive or sexual images, film clips or emoticons. No images, clips or emoticons that would be shocking or offensive because of the content. Moderators will err on the side of caution in eliminating questionable images.

If you want that kind of content, there are lots of places on the Internet to find it, but Club-tC.com will not be one of them.

In the end: USE YOUR HEAD!

Thanks for your cooperation.

Personal Attacks

The Forum should be a place where we treat one another with civility so that it remains a fun and friendly place to hang around with other Scion tC enthusiasts. Hostility to others is rude and inappropriate.

Personal attacks cannot be tolerated. Attack ideas, not fellow Forum members.

Freeposting

Emoticons can sometimes be used to express your feelings in a thread without the need for any accompanying text. But a pattern of posting only emoticons gives the appearance that you are guilty of “freeposting” for the purpose of inflating your post count. Freeposting can also include using the same type comment, or anything similar.

Freeposting isn’t allowed at Club-tC. Moderators will use their best judgment in identifying freeposters, but the judgments will by necessity be subjective.

While it is not always synomous with "freeposting," it is inappropriate to post the same message in multiple sections of the Forum. On some occasions, it might be appropriate. Usually it isn't. Select the correct section of the Forum and post your message. If you decide later, another section might have been a better place, ask a moderator to move the thread.

If you believe you have a thread that needs to be in multiple sections at the same time, contact a moderator first and let them know why.

Free Speach / Censorship

God bless America, where we enjoy constitutionally protected rights. Free speech, although not absolute, is one of those rights.

Being a member at Club-tC is not, however, a constitutionally protected right. The Forum is a private enterprise and its owner has the right to establish rules of behavior for participants.

Participants who agree to follow Forum rules and then don’t will sometimes find that their inappropriate posts have been deleted. They should not reopen a topic after a moderator has closed a thread on the topic. A pattern of such defiance of the Forum’s rules/guidelines will jeopardize a member’s posting privileges.

Unresolved Disputes

The Forum allows a factual post on an unresolved dispute with a vendor or another member once all efforts to resolve the issue offline have been exhausted. Then, the post must be factual and cannot be used to bash the vendor or the member. Once the post has been made, it cannot be repeated in other sections or on other days.

Moderators will try to leave such threads open until everybody with direct knowledge of the issue being addressed has had a chance to provide their version of the facts. The thread must not become a running debate on the accuracy of the “facts” and may not deteriorate into an exchange of personal attacks. Neither should be used as an opportunity for speculation by those who do not have direct knowledge of the issue.

Once there has been the opportunity for the facts on all sides to be posted, the thread will be locked. It will remain in the database and will be available for review by those who are researching the topic, vendor or member.

The Forum is not in a position to monitor transactions or to determine the “true facts” in most disputes. Upon request, however, the Forum will try to intervene and mediate a settlement suitable to all parties in a dispute. When issues are resolved in the matter, it will be posted to the original dispute thread so it becomes part of the searchable record. We believe that is a more useful record of performance for potential customers than would be an eBay-style rating system.

As has been our past practice, members or vendors who show a pattern of unresolved issues will be removed from Club-tC.

Comercial Posts

Supporting vendors pay for the considerable bandwidth charges on the Forum, making it free for the rest of us. In exchange, they get the privilege of using the Forum to market and promote their goods and services.

Forum members are welcome to sell a Scion tC or Scion Tc parts they purchased for their own personal use. Anything else is considered to be a commercial sale.

Members are not prohibited from mentioning it when they have a good (or bad, for that matter) experience with a non-supporting vendor. But such mentions cannot be so specific (address, phone number, e-mail address, URL, price, part number, etc.) and so frequent that they become marketing and promotional references.

Only supporting vendors can post Group Purchase threads and in the Sponsored Listings Forum.

Members can include a mention of their personal businesses in their signatures so long as the enterprise does not compete with an existing supporting vendor, is not Corvette-related and is not so detailed or so frequently appended to their posts that it becomes inappropriate marketing and promotion.

Service Denied

There may be times when a Forum member becomes so annoying to fellow Forum members and/or moderators -- even without specifically violating any Forum rules/guidelines, that the appropriate remedy is just to deny service to them.

Complaints and Suggestions

If you have suggestions for the improvement of the Forum or questions or criticism of the Forum or its moderation, you are welcome to PM or e-mail a moderator. Please do not use an open thread for such messages, however.

The work on the Forum's volunteer moderators is difficult enough without having folks calling them out in open threads.

Street Racing / Kill Stories

Street racing is dangerous and illegal.

Kill stories, or any posting about illegal, reckless and dangerous activities on any roadway, is highly discouraged by Club-tC.

Please be smart and take it to the track!
