Default good to go

Hey guys - new to the forum. I had a celica and thought the next evolution was the tc and so far so good.

Anyway, I got my car from Smithtown Scion on long island and the process went well. They had the car ordered because apparently manual cars are not very abundant. It took about 2 weeks and they called/updated me with a time frame. I got the with 1 mile on it.

Really, nothing bad to say and I'd recommend.

The only side note, they wanted 9 hours of labor to install the lowering springs and I opted to do the install myself. 9 hours is a bit on the high side imho!

that is kinda EXTREME, we have a group of folks in J'ville that seem to have mastered the install and can probably do it in about 4 hours. They say the xB goes real quick. Good driving and hope to see some mods soon. PEACE

Yeah 9 hours... pfffft what a ripoff. Labor charges would be $600+. Screw that noise!

My 1st time I lowered a car (2001 civic) it took me & a friend about 5 1/2 hours without any mechanical knowhow & goofing around. Now that I have my own tools I knock cars out in approx. 4 hours, give or take time to charge my impact gun or to eat, drink and be merry.

Do it yourself, the knowledge you gain will be worth it.
