The Dealer was talking about the aforementioned EBFD system. It does not calculate differential weights (he is confused about the weight sensor in the passenger front seat to determine its airbag deployment activation) in the car. It determines brake bias by measuring the slip at each wheel and calculating that against vehicle speed. The Skid Control ECU is completely separate from the ECM with one exception. The Skid Control ECU provides the speed signal to the combination meter for the speedometer. The ECM taps into this signal at the meter via a transistor. This maybe why the Greddy Ultimate and other piggybacks can't override the the 128MPH speed limitation.
We all know that the ECM is encrypted, but what of the Skid Control ECU? You can communicate with it via the TC pin on the DL3 (diagnostics port) plug. It would take someone with an intricate knowledge of these systems and ability to code a new program. If that were possible, it woul make tuning your brakes for track us phenominal.
