Hey yall i havent been on here for quite sometime. Anwho, today i changed my brakes but i have a slight problem with the right rear. first i removed the caliper and the i had two 5/16 threaded bolt to remove the rotor from the ball bearing area. after a while i realized that i had the ebrake on and that is why i was not able to remove the rotor. after i put it in gear and then able to remove the rotor i had issues putting the new rotor in.
finally i got everything back in place and when i drove the car around i hear a loud grinding noise. after looking and thinking for about another hour i realized that the ebrake pads were loose. since they are assembled as a drum set i dont know anything about them so i cannot fix it. does anybody know how i can adjust the pads again? I hope this makes sense sorry if it doesnt. thanks in advance

You adjust the self-adjusters just like on any rear drum brakes. Try looking at a Chilton or Haynes manual for a 79-04 Mustang. Their rear drum brake adjusters are nearly identical. There is a small square bracket that holds the entire parking brake shoe assembly on the rear hub. If the brakes are locked when you crank the bolts to pull the rotor, this flange will bend.
