Suprisingly the letters have held up to the car wash so far. You have to make sure that the pain you choose is a ceramic based paint to handle the heat. Prep work is key so I suggest that you completely remove the calipers from the car and disassembly them. You will need a caliper rebuild kit (fairly cheap from the dealership) and brake fluid. Good time to upgrade to SS brake lines, better rotors, upgraded pads, and DOT 4 synthetic brake fluid.

I actually want to upgrade the brake lines so that's kind of why I have been waiting on doing my calipers. It's going to have to wait a little bit longer anyway because of lack of money and time, two key resources.

do you guys remove the calipers to paint them or can you just keep it on the car?
and also does it take long to dry up?

I would remove the calipers to paint them so they can be painted on both sides. If you only want the one side painted, you'll need to mask off what you don't want painted first.

Since we're on the topic of painted break calipers, here's mine:

Compressed air can be used to remove a stuck caliper piston. Make sure all of the brake fluid is drained as any left in the bore will spray out when the piston moves past the o-ring. Placing a rag over the caliper can prevent brake fluid from getting everywhere.

Note: You need to place a 1/2" thick piece of regular wood in the caliper seated so as to be opposite the caliper piston. When the air pushes the piston out of the bore, depending on the amount of air pressure utilized, can cause it to get scored or worse, fly out and injure you.

CAUTION!!! You have to be extremely careful not to apply too much pressure as that piston can eject very violently. Start with 10PSI opening the valve on the compressed air hose slowly. If it does not start to slide out you can try dislodge it out with short bursts of air. Slowly increment the air pressure up by 5PSI at a time, trying both methods till it releases.

Be careful not to scratch the surface of the caliper piston. and replace the o-ring, the dust boot, and the caliper slides with new parts. Your dealership should have it in stock. Use the appropriate amount of caliper grease on the bolts only. Only fresh brake fluid should be rubbed on the new o-ring and piston before reassembly. Do one side at a time so that you have a guide to work off of. Clean and re-apply the disk quiet to the backing (hush) plates and back of the brake pad (not the face).
