okay
so i plan on getting
18x8 tork imagine wheels

would 245/40 tires work?
with an tein htech lowering springs(1.9 front, 1.5 back)

or should i try offsets
and go with
18x8 in the front
and 18x9 in the back?
mostly im just looking for rubbing issues

if so, what size tires should i go with?

For 18x9 to fit, you will have to get the offset just right and run a smaller than normal tire. Stock 7" is +45mm, 8" should be +42mm, 8.5" should be +40mm, 9" +38mm. I have 18x8.5" wheels on +35mm offset. They are too far out and rub the rear fender lips.
