I am thinking of getting my calipers painted but I am not sure which what color to go with. My friend and I were photoshoping some colors on it and I was thinking of red but then we put orange on it and it looked really good. Let me know what you guys think.

I dont know if I should get red or orange.

If anyone has other Flint Mica pictures with calipers painted, please post so I can get an idea. Thanks!!!

Flint Mica is an interested and frustrating color IMO cuz it isn't one color... it's more like 3 colors: dark gray, green, and blue. if you can have a theme with your car you can bring out the painted calipers. otherwise, blue, green or that silver it comes with are what i would go with.

If you want a bright color, do red. Otherwise I'd go with black or silver b/c it'll match your color better.

How about going two-tone? Don't know if anyone is doing that yet.

I am looking at having my plated....would that affect the heat dissipation?? Black Chrome...had to go with something totally different again....

imo...go with a color that will stand out from the FM...try looking for a dark bronze...that would stand out from the wheels and the car...I think that would be very noticeable...

btw...mine are currently a dark purple....

I would say that plating would look nice for a while and turn as the heat increases. Think of chrome plated headers....

Black Chrome would be sweet. Heat dissipation should not be affected. There is actually a process to keep the chrome from turning. For the life of me, I can't remember what it is. I think that there is a paste that the Harley guys use on their motorcycles.

Which would mean cleaning them on a regular basis.....I guess that would be the price I have to pay to be different...oh well ...I'm willing to do it
