My g/f and I made the 2 hour trip down to Nanticoke, Pa (Droptoberfest) on Saturday Oct. 16th 2010. Droptoberfest had a thread on Facebook.com that we happened to come across and the first 200 vehicles through the gates would recieve a limited edition Droptoberfest T-shirt. Anyone who wanted the t-shirt after that the cost was $10.00 ea. We left around 6:30am that morning and got to the car show a little before 8:30am. We were 4th in line at the gate and we still had to wait till 9am till they opened the gates. The whole day went really well, but kinda chilly, although we saw so many sick rides and some that were mindblowing to say the least. We estimated the turn out to be 300+ vehicles, although there were only 5 Scion's that showed up for the Scion Class, 4 Scion tC's and 1 Scion xB.

I also took part in the SPL Competition (Class A 50-125 Sq. Ft.), they gave each competitor two runs. My first run was a 138.1 dB and the second run was a 137.4 dB. I was disappointed that they only gave one trophy for each class in the SPL Comp. When it came time to start the trophy presentation, they started w/ the door prizes which you had to buy a ticket in order to win anything. The door prizes varied from a 3 pk of microfiber towels, detail sprays, Momo shift knobs, Optics LED washer nozzles, Tenzo R Seat Belt Pads, gift certificates to: Redlobster, Applebees, Outback Steak House and couple for local food places, BlueHorny Glasspack Mufflers, K&N Banners, LED Flashlights and boxes of Latex Gloves. The door prize presentation lasted a good 1.5 hrs, which was so ridiculous. Trophy presentation lasted maybe a half hour. The car show was suppose to end at 4pm, we didn't leave till around 6:30pm and got home after 8pm. Everyone was beat, tired and very hungry and wanted to get their trophies and go home, we took home 3rd place which was nice, even though the competition was tough and people there had some serious money into their rides. We didn't notice and hating going on or smack talk, but we heard a lot of people saying the judging wasn't done fairly, too much favortism.

We got to witness to a Dodge Neon SRT-4 and Nissan Skyline having a backfiring competition, the skyline was so loud and the backfire shot some serious flames and sparks out the exhaust, the sound of the backfire was so loud it literally hurt your ears. The Skyline was tight, really clean and had a crap load done to it. Feel free to checkout Droptoberfests website for all the sick rides there this year and the skyline.

Here are a couple a pics I took w/ my cell phone of the Scion Class, the limited edition t-shirt and our 3rd place trophy.

Congrats on the third place man. Looks like you had some serious competition. Were you rocking a stock suspension to the droptoberfest? hehe :D

Thank you very much! Yes my suspension is stock, NY roads aren't too pleasant on lowered vehicles. I have scraped a couple of times as it is, don't care to scrape my car all to hell either. I have plans on upgrading the OEM struts to Tokico Blues, Powerslot or StopTech Slotted Rotors, Stainless Steel Brake Lines and EBC Yellow Stuff Brake Pads.

Great job Cadence! Way to pull out another good placement.

Just came up with an idea to make your stock suspension look dope. Find out the night before which spot you will be showing on. Sneak out in the middle of the night, measure out, and dig out four 2" deep holes where your tires will be. Cover them up with leaves and be the first to show up in the morning. Roll your car into position and wham! You're lowered Dude. The leaves will provide cover for the bottom of the rim looking like it is sitting on the concrete. Gangsta Style! :)
