Any special tricks when lowering your Tc

    Did any of you find any neat tricks to help in putting lowering springs on. any special tools you used or trouble you ran into. Just hoping my drop goes smoothley

    if i recall correctly, you need to remove the trunk mat, the spare tire tool kit, and plastic interior trim in the back to gain access to the upper strut mounting bolts. in the front the plastic cowl needs to be loosened/the windshield wiper arms removed. do these before jacking up/securing on jackstands and youll save yourself a headache.

    also, you'll have to disconnect both sides of the sway bars before attempting to remove the struts.

    Just go to your local auto shop and get the spring compressors you will need to do the install.

    And FYI, if you've never done a spring install before, or haven't even seen one take place, I would not recommend you commence on your own.

    It's a minor modification, but very easy to mess up.

    thanks for your input, i been working in a body shop for a few years and have done most of everything, just with fords :D ill post pics tom. before and after!
