That is a standard look for the silvers. A friend had bronze colored wheels that looked awesome.

Both look cool. The 1st has a machined lip that will not hold up as well as a polished lip. The second should be slightly lighter but with the spokes on the edge of the rim, they can be easily damaged by road debris, curbs, etc. You will have to purchase tires with rim protectors.

Machined lips are mainly on one piece wheel designs. You can really tell the difference between that and a polish lip when the car is still. Depending on how deep the lip is, you can tell the difference when the car is moving. The machined lip just the wheel with a clear paint on it. Chip that paint and the aluminum underneath it will begin to oxidize. It won't destroy your rim, just make it look bad. It also can have from a grooved look to a semi-smooth finish. Just something to think about.

i see why you're going back and forth between the two... for looks go with the first one. like navy said the 2nd will probably be lighter and thus help a little (little) with performance. but im more about the looks. the first one.

just a note on the second set of rims... i work at discount tire... and i've noticed on those particular rims, when you go to mount the tire onto the rim, the machine will rub against the spokes of the rim, since it is "raised" above the face of the lip... but if you do decide to get those mounted be SURE you look them over before you drive off their lot for any scratches.... just my two cents...

Good info to know and a good rule to follow. I had found a gouge in my rim when Firestone replaced a bad Craptenza. It was on the lowest spoke so I could not see it till the wheel changed position. I make a habit of telling anyone that comes close to even riding in my car that I am super **** and totally love my car. Not quite 'Silence of The Lambs', but close.
