the h-techs are lookin nice, i cant wait for spring to slapem on, lol, im in new england and we gotta wait for the harsh weather to pass although it is nice today at a glorius 40 degrees, sure beats the **** outta below 0 temps

i did it myself with a friend using the articles here, they really helped!

yeah, totally doable, took about 5 hours on and off, if i would have done it non-stop maybe 3 1/2 hours, the back was twice as hard as the front becaude of the position of the bolts, but with a little "persuasion" it can be done, good luck!!

about h.techs

hey umm i was allready thinking of getting h techs but my friend told me i need shocks and struts for the h tech. i was just wondering what i need to accomodate the h tech lowering springs..camber kits shocks struts i need help im not sure.i dont want to buy extra things i dont need

i bought nothing more then the h-techs springs alone, and it feels like stock, no harshness at all, and handles a lil better but swaybars are really needed, as for camber kits, they are not necessary, just look at my pictures, there is almost no visible negative camber!

i bought them from ZPI, www.zeropointindustries.net , it was 179.00 with shipping, and took about a week and 2 days, they are a very reliable company!

what made you decide to get the h tech instead of the s tech. the s tech is suppose to lower the car more?

yeah, but at the cost of exesive negative camber, leading to bad handling, and leading to uneven and accelerated tire wear, sure S-techs are lower, but h-techs look nice and clean, and will save u money in the long run!!

yeah i know, but that would lead to spending more money, and besides im planning to upgrade to 18's pretty soon and i definitely dont want any rubbing goin on, so the H-techs are perfect for me, whoever wants s-techs for the fact that its lower, i agree its a nice set up, but if you dont plan to fix your negative camber and dish out a few extra hundreds, then stick with something milder like h-techs or hotchkis springs

I finally put my h-techs in and they do look excelent, they ride beautiful and are goin to match up perfect with my rims when i put them on.....

now on the other hand, i ****ed up a lil on the install..... i admit, this is my first import, im 18, and this was my first suspension job especially with out torque renches and air tools, etc. on my driver side shock, i admit i asembled it wrong, and the reason is that when i took apart the assembly it wasnt compressed enough so it sprung off a little bit and i lost concentration of assembly. Now what i did was i cut the bump stop at .6", I compressed the spring, and started, i put the bump stop first then one of the other rubber parts. Now the other rubber part, I put it on the inside of the shell instead of on top with the washer and bolt.......

I know have a clunking noise in the rear so tomorrow im going to re-take it apart and do that side again, we'll see what happens

WTF, I JUST RE-DID THE BACK, AND IT STILL CLUNKS, SHOULD I TAKE OUT THE BUMPSTOPS IN THE BACK OUT ALL TOGETHER, OR SHOULD i JUST THE METAL PART ON THEM OFF, THIS IS PISSING ME OFF, BUT THE FRONT IS STILL PERFECT AND IT STILL LOOKS MINT

i really dont know what to do....what metal part are you talkin about??

do you remember the metal that was part of the bump stop on the rear suspension, thats what im talkin about

OHH i took that off, im pretty sure thats where ur noise is coming from!!
