I want to get some HID headlights. I want to have that purpleish look too. Can i get the headlights with the halo's and just put in the 12000K bulbs er whatever or do i actually have to buy the HID headlight conversion kit and sacrifice the halos?

You may be able to find the bulbs. I don't know what good they are going to do you. You would not have to "sacrifice" halos for HID's. However, I do not recommend 12000K HID's. Factory HID on BMW, Mercedes, Acura, etc. all have 4300K bulbs. Those will give you the most light output. Anything after that is just for color and show, not functionality.

From what I hear, MOBILEHID makes some of the best out there.

Are they hard to install DIY? or should I go somewhere and have them installed? How do I know which one to get?

They are extremely easy. The hardest part of the install is mounting the ballasts, but even that is a piece of cake in my opinion.

I'm guessing you mean "which one" as in what color. That's all up to you. For the most light output (if I remember correctly, you have an 09?) you want projectors and 4300K bulbs. The most popular color is 6000K which gives off a blue-white light. I have 6000K in my fog lights and I love the output.

I have 10000K and like the darker blue color, and as for mounting the ballasts most kits come with all the needed hardware.

You would only need HID's for the H11's, which are your low-beams. You do not want to have HID's in the high beams because they need time to warm up and you will rarely have them on long enough to get the full potential out of them. That's why when I do my projector retro-fit, I will have HID low beams and halogen high beams.

since my car is Black Cherry Pearl, the purple hue would look pretty good with the color. I mean, if it really doesn't light up the road at all then thats obviously not a good idea, but if it gets the job done and looks good, i mean why not. And can i just get halo headlights then put in the purple bulbs er whatever?

if you wanna sacrifice safety by reducing your light output just because you wanna have your headlights look pretty, that's your decision

don't say we didn't warn you though.

ok, well say i do the darker blueish. Its still light and its still going to do the job. So what steps do i go about taking to the the halo headlights, then getting the white, or blueish low beams?

That all depends. Since you have an 08, there are no kits available for halos on your stock headlights. You will have to either swap for 05-07 heads or buy an aftermarket set. If you decide to buy 05-07 heads, you will have to bake them open to install halos yourself. You can buy aftermarket ones, but they are usually made Chinese crap that fog up and have the LED's burn out fast. The "Honda" blue that you want can be achieved with a 10,000K HID kit.

HIDS(yes even the colored ones) burn brighter than your stock headlights, they just cast a blue light so everything refelctive shines blue not white. I have 10000k installed on mine and have had no problems with visibility, and I live in a small town with crappy streetlights.

Some people have luck with them, some don't. If I ever bought a set of aftermarket heads, my first job would be to bake them open and reseal them to make sure I don't get any fogging. But hey, that's just me.

Baking means that you break the seal on the headlights and completely open them up.

Remove the screws from the back of the lights. They hold the lens to the housing. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees and stick the headlights on a baking sheet on the center rack. Let them bake for about 5-10 minutes or until the glue has softened enough to pull the lens apart from the housing. You will need a couple of screwdrivers for that. Buy some very high quality sealant and put it into the recessed part of the housing. Place both the housing and the lens back into the oven to melt any glue that remained from the previous baking. Once everything is loose, take them out of the oven and squeeze them together as much as you can and hold for about 5 minutes. That should seal them up pretty good and prevent any fogging.
