More to come. There will have to be a 555 IC Timer circuit made to create a momentary pulse for the horn to accept the parking light circuit as an input. Will post diagram when I have time to make it.

    Lossed keyless horn beep.

The horn on my 07 tC no longer chirps when I lock her up, is there a way to fix that? Are you talking about removing this function or changing it?:idgi:

The OEM keyless entry and the upgrade TVIS system neither had any chirp while arming/disarming. These are silent systems.

When I first got my tC the horn gave one short chirp after the lock button was pressed twice. The horn stoped chirping about 6 months after I bought it.

What year tC and was your car new or used? It may have been an aftermarket alarm or remote start.

Been discussing this with my good friend Jamie. Realized that this will require a logic circuit as the keyless entry system is controlled by a logic circuit. Will be ordering some electronics soon to start on the prototype.

There is a simple on/off switch on the far left around your ankles that control's the chirp for your alarm. I have been wondering what that switch does since I bought my car two years ago, and just figured it out a few weeks ago.

You will have to turn your car off, flip the switch, then turn your car back on before it will take affect.

    Note: I have a stock '06.

That would be an aftermarket alarm. Neither the factory keyless entry system, nor the Scion Security system upgrade has a siren or chirps the horn upon lock/unlock of the doors. There is no switch in the driver's kick panel or footwell. It will sound the horn if the alarm is tripped. The purpose of this thread is to discuss possibilities of adding this functionality to the stock system.

That's strange. I'm not saying your wrong, but I bought the car brand new from the dealer, and haven't added anything since then. Do you think the dealer added an aftermarket alarm?

Dealerships can and do sometimes add aftermarket products as a special Dealer package to add "value". More like room for profit. This would be those items listed in the "Options" section of the sticker. These are beyond the TRD/Toyota certified accessories and would only be supported by the Dealership that did the install.
