Bought my '06 TC slightly used in January '08. Ripped of Car Max who priced the car as if it were "stock" but it had every TRD upgrade (at the time I bought it) minus Supercharger, LSD and TRD clutch. I estimated this to be approx 8K in TRD upgrades (give or take with labor). This got me jump started to get where I am currently at with all upgrades as follows:

    Engine:
TRD supercharger, customized Weapon R Secret Weapon Ram Air intake, NST lightweight water pump, alternator, crank & overdrive pulleys, Apexi SAFC Neo (air fuel control system), Weapon R 4-2-1 stainless steel header, Megan Racing cat back exhaust, fabric header heat wrap, TRD Quick Shifter Kit, generic brand intercooler with JDM piping, Design Engineering 02 intercooler spray kit system & 02 tank, AEM methanol injection system, Mishumoto high performance lightweight aluminum radiator, Greddy oil catch can, Weapon R ignition equalizer, steel braided cables, short ground cable kit, Weapon R torque damper, Silverstone hih performance spark plugs.

    Suspension:
TRD Lowering Kit, TRD Struts/coil over Shock Kit, TRD Front Strut Tie Bar, TRD Rear Sway Bar

    Interior:
AEM Air/Fuel gauge, boost gauge and oil pressure gauge, gauge pillar, blue LED Interior Lights, TC Door Still Enhancements, OEM VIP Security upgrade, Razo Sports Pedals, OEM Cargo Mats upgrade, customized 02 trunk mount for 02 tank, AEM electronic monitor system & control for methanol kit, electronic 02 bottle opener system & customized interior mount for toggle control switch on 02 bottle opener, custom interior mount for push button 02 intercooler spray control, customized interior (back seat floor) mount for battery and battery cover case (to make room for all the goodies in the engine).

    Exterior:
TRD 4 piece Lip Kit upgrade, custom blue fog lights (in side vents), Vertex grille, bolt on TRD emblem (bolted to grille), OEM Rear Lip Spoiler upgrade.

    Audio:
OEM Alpine AM/FM CD ipod stereo upgrade, OEM Bazooka Sub Woofer upgrade.

    Wheels & Tires:
OEM AMX Super 7x 18" alloy wheels upgrade with Pirelli tires, Alloy Wheel Locks.

Here are photos I took last summer of the car. Most of those upgrades were on the car at that time. The engine photo was taken prior to many of the upgrades however.

I will take more photos in the next few weeks. Car is at the show as I am in the process of adding:

Kaminari body kit, Kaminari CF hood, Wilwood brake kit for the front, upgraded drilled & slotted rotors for the back to match the front and powder coat back calipers red, LED interior gauge swap (courtesy of Alan from Meng on this forum), and TuboXS BPV to replace OEM BPV (courtesy of Navylife).

Jay, great looking tC and sweet mods on that baby. I see you've got the Enkei Super 7's, love those wheels. Still modding my tC as well and some mods have come in lately, just waiting for a day off to install them.

    Thanx man!

Yeah, I really love those rims. I have had people ask me if am going to put aftermarket rims on the car, and I say "hell no". A lot of people don't understand why. I think they are great rims.

Plus, I am trying to keep the car looking sleeper style as much as possible. These rims are great because they still look outstanding without drawing too much attention to yourself and looking more like a "stock" TC.

I have always been enthusiastic about those wheels. They look awesome on the RS1.0. Just wished that they we a bit wider. I think that there is a company that can cut them and weld an insert in them to make them wider. I know it can be done on steel rims but not sure about aluminum wheels.

Your ride is looking cherry. It takes alot of work to cherry out a ride. Keep up the good work.

Thanx Scott! Those are kind words, especially coming from a guy with as much knowledge as you.

I take insane care of this car. I probably have only put about 6,000 miles on it in the last 2 years and I've owned it for 3. I store it for the harsh Chicago winters.

Funny thing is since I took these photos last summer I've put so much money into the car since then it looks a bit different. I'll be taking some updated ones soon. I promise.

I got wheel spacers recently so that these rims line up nicely with outsides of the Kaminari body kit I also got recently. Man, those rims sitting out wide on a body kit like that look saweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

I bet it does. I have been thinking about getting those 22mm wider CF fenders on the market. Not sure how that will look with the back. I might just have to make some CF fender flares for the rear. Speaking of Kaminari, guess who is getting ride of theres and soon to be sporting a new APR CF wing?

    Hurry up with those picts.

    Updated pix!

Alright, finally got my TC back with all the stuff I had done to it a couple weeks ago and took some pix last weekend.

I took some pix at night too because the carbon fiber really showed well for some reason when the flash hit it in the dark.

    Exterior:

Kaminari full body kit, Kaminari CF hood, front Wilwood big brake kit (red calipers, 13" drilled & slotted rotors, stainless steel red brake lines), 10" drilled & slotted Power Slot rear rotors, powder red coat rear stock calipers.

I have already had the FMIC, TRD supercharger and 02 spray tank, but I never took photos until now. I also have replaced all pulleys with NST LW red pulleys as well. There's also an AEM methanol spray kit in there too. Lastly, I upgraded the OEM bypass pressure valve with an aftermarket one I bought slightly used from Navy (sweet sparkle powder coat Scott!) to handle the extra PSI the upgraded NST SC pulley is putting out. Too hard to take photos of that stuff however. You can slightly see the NST SC pulley though.

You can also see the Mishumoto aluminum radiator I and the heat wrapped Weapon R 4-2-1 header I put on a while back too. Did those mostly myself, proud to say. If I can to that, anyone can because I am an idiot LOL.

And, here's the interior. These are all new photos.

I upgraded the gauge clusters & center column to flipped (reverse color) blue LED ones from Alan at Meng who is a member of this site. He did a great job swapping these out, and the installation was easy as hell on my end.

Never took photos until now, but in addition about a year ago I also added the AEM boost, oil pressure, air/fuel gauges with gray interior pillar, Apexi Neo AFC system (custom interior mount below climate control dial), custom mounted 02 release valve toggle switch with blue LED light (mounted in the little flip lid storage space on the center console below the stick shift), and Razo sport aluminum pedals. (You can slightly see the AEM control unit for the methanol system mounted to the lower dash in the photo of the Razo pedals. It's the shadowy black box with the green red light).

The interior blue LED lights are the dealer TC upgrade that were already on the car when I purchased it used.

Those are some really sick upgrades Jay, I esp love the hood, I will have the same one but in fiberglass, should be on this week. Now if my side skirts and rear lip would come in I can get those to paint and then installed. Everything blends so nicely and sweet LED's/Lighting as well. Nice Job Bro!

Awesome job there Jay. Man is she looking sweet. The Kaminari kit is old but still looks great. The hood looks far better than mine. Oh well, that is the price that you have to pay for NACA ducts.:img21: The Mengster is a great guy to buy from. I am due to buy a another HID set for my other tC.

In regards to our PM's. I noticed the tight 180 bend on your charge pipe to the FMIC. Did you know that you can loosen the two brackets that hold the compressor housing and rotate it to orient it to a different angle? That 180 bend causes alot of friction in the airstream and could be a contributing source to your PSI issues. With the compressor housing pointed down, you might be able to plumb just a 90 degree bend. If you were to lay in a Honda racing radiator (like on the Nitto tC), you could orient the charge outlet forward completely relieving you of that bend all together.

Hey Scott, my pleasure. Figured I couldn't have a friend go off to serve us without wishing him well.

Consider it done. Check the "other cars" section. I posted a thread titled "Update on my (new) ride, Nismo 370Z".

Hey, thanx a bunch Scott. That means a lot to me coming from you. I have a tremendous amount of respect for ya'.

I was a bit worried about posting the new car on here, to be honest. I'm not trying to one up anyone. I'm just an enthusiast.

I sold it to a South Side Chicago cop who bought it for his 19 year old son (ironic?? LOL). I sent him the site, but I have not seen him on here, nor have I had much contact with him since.

Probably have not heard from him as his Dad is holding it over his head to get him to go to college. :)
Either way, the dude is getting one straight nice ride!

Don't worry about posting up your new love. Anyone that understands anything about the Scion brand will openly welcome your new passion. Scions are meant to be an open canvass for first car owners to explore the realms of personalization, customization, and entry level sport performance. It is an avenue to build to the next level for which you have done. Some even come back to the tC later when they start having withdrawals. :). The bottom line is that we are all automotive enthusiast. Those that aren't won't be on here. Rock on my friend!
