I want to put lambo doors on my tc but i do not know which one to get. I heard that if it is not a good one the doors are very hard to open and things like that. so if anyone knows of any really good ones please let me know.

My buddy had lambo doors put on his chevy s-10. weld on kit. there wasn't any problems with it only that when it comes to close the doors you have to be right on the hinge for it to shut.

I would suggest LSD doors. They are currently the only bolt on for the TC that are OEM DOT certified with an approved crash test rating as well. They also run off of a gas powered hydro system along with bearing assisted swinging to eliminate metal to metal rubbing. They are pricey, about $1700, but they are well worth the price. Second to that would be Decah Doors or Vertical Doors Inc. They will run you about $1000. They are very decent doors, but not OEM DOT certified and have no crash tests as of yet either. If you're looking for safety and something that isn't going to screw with the warranty, LSD doors are the way to go. If you're looking to save money, Decah's and Vertical Doors Inc. are still good door kits. The problem with a weld on kit is that if the person installing it doesn't weld to the exact location that is needed, you will always have problems with opening and closing that door. There are plenty of bolt on kits made for the TC that replace the OEM hinge. Go with a bolt on.

On the other hand, if you're looking to go CHEAP, Scion TC Exterior Accessories has a direct bolt on hinge kit. I don't know how they are myself or how good they are(you get what you pay for). I'm just saying if you want cheap then, this is the cheapest your gonna find.

If it's for show, then go cheap. But if it's a DD, then spend the money on a real lambo door kit.

I have also heard that in general, lambo doors have alignment problems and can tear up the front quarter panels.

I have never done any research on it but I saw this discussion and just thought I'd see what you guys were talking about because I have also entertained the idea in my day dreams.

Are there issues like this with a more reputable brand such as the LSD you mention? With alignment? (daily driver).

I'm going to say no. All the people I heard from had nothing but good to say about the $1000+ kits like VerticalDoorsInc. and LSD although they don't have an application for scion on the LSD website. Also, contrary to what some people say, vertical doors inc is a direct bolt on app, no welding required but, your talking about $1500+. It's worth it though. You get what you pay for.

Do any of the lambo kits allow the door to open both ways? Lambo style and normal style? Lambo style would be dope for showin off and getting in-n-out of tight quarters, but jesus it would get old and annoying after a while.

If you watch the video on YouTube that I posted earlier from VerticalDoors Inc. it looks like the doors open normally and then swing up.

Not 100% sure about that and not totally sure if you can just open then normally if you want to and swing up only if you want too, but that is a good question. Now you have me wondering as well.

I know there is definitely a kit that does open both vertical and normal but, for the life of me, I can't remember which one.

Someone told me before that Vertical Doors Inc. did but I dont know for sure. Shhot them an email to find out.

LSDs open 30 degrees normally, then 40-50 degress upwards in lambo style. Pretty nice site. $1700 is a bit much for door mods though... Hmmm, anyone wanna rob a bank with me? I've seen Italian Job, Bank Job, and all Ocean movies. I think I can pull it off.

I don't hate them, but I'd way rather put that money into performance mods.

Found a site that is selling lambo kits for $600. $500 if you pay by money order. The brand is BBD. Never heard of them and I'm having a tough time lookin them up.
