I'm close to buying the lowering kit for my TC. I called the parts department at my scion dealership about it and they said they only saw two springs for $199.99 which led him to say that the full lowering kit for all four wheels would be close to $400.00. He wasn;t sure though. For anyone that bought the lowering kit was it $199.99 for the whole thing?

Make sure they know what they are doing as there is a certain way the suspension parts are oriented. Also, you will need to have a new 4 wheel alignment done. This can be done at the Dealer using the TRD springs specs for anything under a 2" drop.

yeah i have s-techs also. S-techs FTW!! are you sure u want trds? The drop is really subtle. -1.25 inches i think. You're better off going with progress springs. Better drop, and good spring rates. Or goldlines. Do not buy from dealer especially if they claim its 400.

I have the TRDs on mine, the drop is 1 inch. The car sits nice, rides awesome, and looks way better.

Hotchkis makes an excellent set that goes just under 2" drop, does not sag, and handles/rides great.

    Bump!

As much as I like cake, it's only only about $1.34 to make it yourself, and about $20 to buy.

Springs however, are much more of an investment. Is anyone riding on Eibachs? I have a DD that needs to be dropped, corner better, and still hold a smooth ride quality. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Also, which shocks are best? Is there a better combo? Like certain shocks work better with certain springs?

Thank you... back to the cake!

I have heard rumor that Eibach makes the TRD springs but that may be totally wrong. OEM struts work well for the street with less than 2" drop. They begin to wear out about 40K miles. This was from 6K miles new. There are several good strut manufacturers out there, but none built specifically for dropped tC that I know of.

Cool. Thanks. My car only has 9k. You think I'd be good with just switchin out the springs? I know drops are all preferences, I just wanna make sure the car looks better, handles better, and doesn't loose ride quality (I'm okay with a minimal loss).

Again all thoughts and opinions are welcome. Thank you again guys. This forum has been helpful and never have I been scared to ask a question. Awww... now we all need a cake that says BFFs.
