Im looking into getting some lowering springs. I want to lower it 1.8 inches. Not too much, not too little. Will my car handle any better? how much more difficult will it be to take it around... what i mean is, since its lower, i don't want to be scraping everything i drive over. anything and everything helps. Especially those who have lowering springs already.

For a 1.8ish inch drop, go with the Tein H-techs. They are a 1.9 in front, 1.4 in rear I believe. They are really good springs. I have the Tein S-techs which are 2.5 in front, 2 in rear and I love them. I take bumps slowly, but I have yet to ground out (but I've only had them on for a week... so yeah >.>)

I posted pics on the Lowering Before/After thread, which is a sticky above this one. The ride definitely changed, but I wouldn't say the "quality" changed. It is stiffer now, so I feel more bumps, but the car doesn't rock as much if I shift aggressively and the car doesn't lean as much into turns. So yeah, lowering springs are a give/take thing (give smoothness, take handling).

I like the ride much more now b/c of the handling improvement (though doing a full suspension setup would be better, but I no has moneys).

I believe H-Techs are 1.9 in the front and 1.7 in the rear...They will be what I choose when I go to buy them.
