We now have a full inventory of Scion TC badgeless rear garnishes! These are not the generic fiberglass ones. Very close to OEM spec and fitment!

Meng Scion TC 2005-2010 Badgeless Rear Garnish:

The garnish, or trunk handle, is a very popular mod. If you are looking for a replacement garnish or simply want to upgrade the style of your trunk by going badgeless, then this is the product for you. This piece is primered and ready to be painted. Having the unit painted will ensure perfect color match to your vehicles paint. Fits all 2005-2010 Scion tC factory trunks.

    Unpainted.
    Easy direct installation.
    Heavy duty construction.
    Complete OEM replacement.
    All hardware included.
    Six month warranty.

Price is $49.95. As always shipping for any order is just $5.00. Product Link

......or yours sheared off in your hands. :(

So is this been designed to be more stout than the OEM to be used as a handle? Looks good BTW.

Sorry to hear that Scott =[.

I wouldn't say its more stout than OEM, its a different material so its better in some ways. This one is thick ABS plastic so it doesn't really have flex to even give chance to the garnish bending during use. However since the OEM is polyurethane which seems to be a more flexible material, it can flex to compensate for the pressure. In the garnish sense, I'm not sure if flex should even be in the equation though.

In short, I wouldn't say this piece is guaranteed to be more durable than OEM. However it costs a fraction of the OEM price and IS definitely more durable than any other aftermarket piece as most of them are fiberglass.

It needs a metal backing to solve the issue once and for all. Could be sold as an option or retrograde for OEM units.
