I wasn't going to post in this general forum, but I read that some guys were asking others for their 2011 pics and I realized there weren't many up.

So I decided to post in general since generally I don't have solidified project plans on the car.

I was an original 2006 generation owner, and in a tragic rollover I lost it in 2007 due to two other drivers at fault.

3 years and my settlement finally coming in later, I am back in my baby once again and I am thankful now it took so long to get it because I got to hop back in with the second generation, and lucky me I found the standard tranny with upgraded audio =)

    Here are some pics...

I am going with a Gears theme obviously. I've always loved red on black, and I originally I didn't like the white tCs, but this new shape really holds the sporty look down.

I have a rear view camera I plan on adding, and I bought a thick gromet that looks like a cog. I was going to paint it with the same caliper paint so it looks like a cog on the rear of my car. What do you think?

I am not going to go overboard with the Cog designs, but I do want to incorporate more red accents on my vehicle. Not so much in your face things, but noticeable and clean looking designs.

I removed the skull from the cog as to avoid copyright issues, I know the change wasn't a lot but hopefully since I'm small time they look at it as awesome free advertisement right? Lol.

I saw these door speakers with red neons in a new Kia that go with the beat or on their own timer which I think would look badass considering the new 8 speaker system inside.

Ideas? Let me know! I am always open. And I'll post up pics and remain active so you can see the project come to life.

Are you looking for a Neon/Speaker Ring that will pulse to the beat of music?

Yeah I would definitely like to run it with my bass. I have 2 10" Polk subs, problem is the amp is having issues I think it may be blown.

And yes I would like the neon ring outside the speakers. I believe they're 8" speakers now?

Congrats on the new ride. Those 2011's are starting to grow on me. The rear almost has a Lexus IS250/350 look to it. Great car to start all over with. There are many pieces that seem to be interchangeable with the 1st Gen. Those door panels just might fit on the 1st Gen with little to no modification. Are you hearing me there Cadence; Show points? :)

Sorry to hear about your 2006. Can you please explain how it rolled on you? The reason that I ask is that there seem to be an inordinate amount of wrecked tC's from roll-over crashes. It is an alarming trend that I would like to find out if there is a any common factors. The powertrain that I bought was from a rolled '06 tC. One thing is for sure, these cars can take alot of punishment with no problem and little, if any, injury to the occupants.

BTW...I am going to move this to the appropriate thread section but leave an expiring copy here in the General Forum for a month.

Me too. I need the parts to drop in my first gen. Time I buy all of the parts thru the expensive Toyota Parts system, I would have paid for the entire car. Trust me, I will find good use for the left over rolling stock.

Thanks navy! I noticed you are pretty helpful around these forums I appreciate it.

I was heading East on a country road and came up to a left hand turn where I needed to take. The road is a rit of way East and West, with an intersection North to South.

The car ahead of me was going to make a left hand turn and I was approaching behind it. It started to make the left turn and stopped with it's bumper sticking overnthe yellow lines.

Another vehicle coming West (opposite direction) was speeding and over corrected and ended up in the dirt. It was a vehicle smaller than mine I'm assuming FwD because when he got back on the asphalt he slingshot right towards my front end.

I swerved to the right to avoid a head on collision my 40 vs his 50-65 MPH. He ended up hitting me in the driver side door, scraping along the entire side and hitting my rear driver wheel. So it caused my car to start a spin counter clockwise in which I believe my left side lifted up and i proceeded to roll 1.5 timed coming to a stop on my driver side having to crawl out the passenger window.

I had internal injuries as expected but nothing major, honestly I believe the car and my reaction combined is what saved my life or from a potentially fatal accident.

I have bought three cars since then (used, but 03 or later) and I constantly compare turn radius, control style, shift, etc to the tC.

I decided this is my car for life until my promotion next year allows me to pickup that beautiful 2011 Nissan GTR :)

I love the control, response to quick shifts. I'm at 27.2 MPG and it keeps getting higher since it's mainly freeway miles. Currently at 10,500 miles since Nov. 16th.

Sitting behind the wheel makes me feel safe, and I have plenty of room to the outside of my door. I noticed in my 06 where I got hit first, the door only dented into the other side of the door and not any further... So I think Toyota did an excellent job building this car.

And also the new style allows for a panoramic view, you can literally all the way around except for the blind spot over your left shoulder, but the way it is designed if your mirrors are set right you can almost see a full 360 on the freeway.

Also I am looking at small mods here and there to increase 2-4 MPG. I know intakes, upgraded air filter, etc will help efficiency which in turn help gas mileage or whatever but what I can do to the 2011? A lot of places don't even have the updated parts yet, even Toyota didn't have a few things that were supposed to be new lol.

Come March 2011 you should start to see mods coming out. Your best bet would be to run a full synthetic oil 5w20-5w30, get a cold-air intake, run top tier gasoline 89 octane, which I use and get better mileage verse 87 octane. If you live where Ethanol is added to the gasoline, be prepared to lose approx. 10-15% of your gas mileage and horse power. I would also use a name brand fuel injection cleaner every 2000-4000 miles (Lucas, STP, Chevron w/ Techron) for example. Maintaining proper air pressure in your tires and not driving down the highway with your windows down helps as well. As Navy will tell you, if you do mostly city/town driving lugging around a full tank of gas is going add more weight and decrease your MPG's. Fill up on longer trips or if you do more highway driving. Another FYI is Nitrogen filled tires!

Does anyone know where to find the angel eyes to go around the 2011's projectors?
